From an outsiders perspective, it seems your the victim of your own success. When you you were new to the league you kept the ball and teams wanted to attack you which left space for you to exploit with pace and good passing. However as you've become better, teams have been less open and then you've struggled to break them down which may be why trying different things to work out how to win games...?
You need to see our footy of late mate, it's not very pleasant to watch, our players are like statues frozen on Prozac, incapable of holding onto the ball, while our keeper Is clearly on instructions from the manager to lump it up to Go-miss, route one hoof ball at it's best, your in for a right spectacle unless our manager Monk has a vision from above.............
You need a manager that wants to play passing football knows the prem and can come in right away.... If only was someone in mind
Believe it or not but I'm looking forward to Sunday , full of optimism that we can and will get out of this rut , if not then it's long journey home but then there's always the next game to look forward to.
That's the spirit Matt, hope you have a good trip, we always raise our game for the big teams, are Liverpool still a big club?...................
Someone on our match thread mentioned we will have to watch that you're passing game doesn't negate our high pressing style. I agree we will have to watch that Williams to Gomis high ball straight down the middle approach. I don't think he's watched you play this season.
Liverpool FC will 'rip Swansea City to shreds': The grim prediction of one Premier League pundit 09:31, 27 NOV 2015 UPDATED 09:32, 27 NOV 2015 BY CHRIS PYKE Paul Merson reckons it will be a win for the Anfield side, but believes the Swans should stick with Garry Monk SHARES COMMENTS Subscribe please log in to view this image Former Arsenal and England player Paul Merson has tipped Swansea City to be thrashed by Liverpool this weekend. In his Sky Sports Prediction column Merson says of the Liverpool versus Swansea match : "If they can start at a tempo like they did against City, they'll be all over Swansea and rip them to shreds. ADVERTISING "They can't let Swansea pass the ball about, but if they play anywhere near where they did last week, which was the performance of the week without doubt, they'll steamroll them." Merson also backed the under-pressure Swansea manager: "The pressure on Garry Monk isn't right. Where are they supposed to be? The most disappointing thing for them was losing to Hull in the Capital One Cup. The Sky Sports pundit predicts a 3-0 home win for Liverpool, but the Swans shouldn't get too disheartened as Merson did predict that Manchester City would beat Liverpool last weekend. Before the game he said "I think it's a nice game for Liverpool, because nobody expects them to win", but then predicted a 2-0 win for Manchester City. Going by this logic, it is safe to say the Swans will be winning at Anfield.
I agree with his assessment on the game but am I the only one sick to ****ing death of people like Merson, who can barely string two coherent sentences together, telling us that we should be happy where we are? Poor little Swansea, you only deserve 14th and not get any ideas above your station. How dare you even THINK about top 8. You've over achieved so far and you have no right to have any ambition. You MUST know your place in the scheme of things. You are in the Premiership to make up the numbers and should target no more than survival every season. 17th is a success for clubs like you. Prize prick!
Pinned up ready on the dressing room wall, hopefully the team will put in the effort to shut us all up ,
If you get a chance , watch the Man U vs Leicester tomorrow. My prediction is ManU will get no more points than Leicester and if anyone gets 3 points it will be Leicester. Leicester will carry the game to ManU and make the Red Devils look ordinary . The difference between the 2 teams will be the commitment of players toward team cohesiveness . Put white shirts on the Leicester team with a Swan on the front , and you'll see what we looked like when we first came up.
