Well if Tabanou is no good, then we desperately need to buy a left back in January, because we all know Taylor isn't good enough. Be nice to actually know if Tabanou could cut it though.
Confidence is growing , getting ****in excited, .WooHoo.... Monks a genius and we're all idiots ..lol
We used to have confidence in our passing. Seems it's Monk's policy to hoof it rather than play it on the deck (you can call it "direct" passing but it rarely comes off and then gets ugly) and the more we don't play intricate passes the more we will forget how to. Many's the time a player could bring the ball down but aimlessly heads it instead, it's panic football. Britton's shown glimpses of how we used to play.
We'll all take that. Credit to Monk, but Bartleys physical presence is keeping Benteke quiet. Routs must also start every game on the right. There's been some nice link up play on the right between him, Kyle, Gylfi and Eder. An improvement on last week that's for sure. We can get a result here second half.
Britton and Ki were anonymous for the first 15 minutes and we were getting tonked. They were weak on the ball, slow in possession and lost it more times than they found a man. Since they've shaped up, squared up and become braver, we've started to look like a team again. The Swansea that we all know and love comes from midfield supremacy. If we can gain control of that area of the pitch, which for 20 minutes of that half we did, we can limit the amount of chances that Liverpool create. We didn't give up much dangerous pressure or territory from 20 minutes until HT. Definitely a result of Ki and Britton growing into the game.
I would! Don't get too carried away If they get one they'll dominate, can't see us coming from behind.
Its definitely looking more positive, however we still haven't tested their keeper once. Keep plugging away at their keeper, hes usually prone to the odd cock up.
Whoever gets the first shot on goal my nick it. We grew into this game and one thing for sure , Monk's not walking alone , this team is fighting and fast breaking
Yeah - I guess so, but that was one of the most undeserved victories we've ever had. It did nothing to inspire any confidence, only to show that we got extremely lucky on the day.
It would certainly be a handy point and confidence booster but we're only half way through. Talking of which... who's got the best half time team talk? Pool haven't created a lot of actual goal attempts but they do look incisive, especially on the break. And if we get too confident the break is what will undo us.
We are doing very well down the right flank, fair play to Routs and Naughton really giving it a go, but the left flank is very poor, missing Monty there, hope Monk sorts this out second half, Ki and Britton doing well though Ki is not at his best.....
