Can as a centre back? WTF. why drop toure? square pegs! why is he playing players out of position? ****ing madness. at least Hendos back in the middle.
It's so confused at this point that I'm beyond reasoning with whatever mental array of footballers he puts out. He must be coming up with this stuff on an etch-a-sketch. Into the unknown once again, boys.
I thought he looked really comfortable there the other day, I certainly felt he was far more composed than Ive seen any of our other centre backs. Certainly a worry when he shouldn't be playing there and he wasn't bought for that role, but better than anything else we have
I thought someone said he was an injury doubt a couple of days ago... Didn't he come off for Can in the Burnley game?
I hope it is a 4-3-3 otherwise I think he's lost the plot. I want to see Henderson and Can in the middle, hopefully attacking, with Lucas holding to see what they can do together
I Thought he did really well against Burnley. Did a much better job than Toure. I'd still like to see a midfield of Can and Henderson, Could be our best combination in midfield, Don't recall Rodgers trying it at all. But confident with the lineup, mostly because Gerrard isn't starting. Ballotelli to grab he winner.
Were going to hit you guys so hard and so often your going to think your surrounded...good luck after the loss today though gents..Shelvey to get the winner ..2 - 1 Swans
Just thinking though if Toure fit enough for bench in theory he could be needed from 1st min. To play Can there all game (if thats whats happening) with Toure on the bench doesnt make sense when Can can be beefing up our mid Dont forget also Shelvey loves a battle and loves playing us, hopefully he'll get a red
I didnt realise Can played a full half V Burnley at CB (just checked) Lets see, but I dont know if BR should be experimenting like this
Both manquilla and Moreno are starting so I would have thought back 4 with can alongside lucas. But who knows? BR's thinking isn't always the same as the sane among us.
Gary Neville is an annoyingly good pundit... His bit just now on full backs and how it's normally better to get skinned down the line and look silly compared to just show someone inside to allow them to shoot. Makes perfect sense when you think about it but so many full backs show them inside because they are scared of being taken down the line and beaten. United might have missed a trick not getting him on their coaching team.
a bit off topic but pardue to palace? a strange one but I can see why he'd go. less abuse but I don't like is long term chances
