This could be a tough game. They always give us a good game and sometimes get a result too. I see goals in it - I hope our goalscorers are on form. 3-2 Liverpool.
This game is the start of a crucial period of games for us... by Valentine's Day we could be right in the mix - we play Swansea, West Ham and Spurs in that time, mixed with others like Villa, Leicester, Everton, Sunderland. Huge period.

A 3-0 would take us up two places into 8th,six points off fourth. This is an important game for us to win,especially with Leicester coming to Anfield on New years day.
anyay... the swnas have lost the last two in the league and this season in the league cup at anfield.... they drew 0-0 the league match prior to that............. and the only one they've won in relevant memory at anfield is 3-1 in league cup in rodgers stupidity... so all in all... they don't seem to like our place.
We're missing our key man, Jefferson Montero, and that is a huge blow to us. He would have been key to us winning, so the best I am hoping for is a hard earned point
This is going to be a close game where its to close to call and that shows how far Swansea have come over the past few years. We are going for 3 straight away wins and there is no reason we cant achieve this. By losing suarez who Liverpool miss has opened the door for us to win...2-1 away win to give us the best xmas we have ever had in the top flight....we are above Liverpool and Everton and its been no fluke that we are....

I posted it above.... go look. we lost to chelsea 1-2 but deserved to lose... villa absolutely mugged us 1-0 after that........... sunderland came recently for a draw 0-0... everton absolutely robbed us for a point with last kick 1-1, arsenal were dominated and we threw in 2 goals due to skertl being muck 2-2.. and finally hull came for a draw and got one 0-0... never attacked once. so... unless you plan on mugging our useless defence or coming for a draw then think again. we'll give you a game if we are bothered. the only two we've bothered to win is stoke and then opening day v southampton..... if we'd bothered to do the basics we'd have beaten arsenal, everton and drawn v villa. fair enough sunderland and hull came and got what they wanted, i'd put villa in that category but we took the lead and bet everton and arsenal home 90% of games and then mugged ourselves on that basis alone if this game were away for us i'd be saying swansea should be hot favorites but you'll have to come with your top game and press high and hard to get anything at anfield... then take the chances we will cough up. i watched you let tottenham absolutely mug you at your place, bony missed 5/6 chances especially first half.... luckily for you lfc fade as the game progresses unlike spurs. LFC need 2 goals to stand a chance of winning. swansea need to get one and if its the first one then i'd say they will win........ however. 5-0.. 4-3... and 2-1 this year suggest that its not one swansea fans should be taking lightly at all
Yup it is absolutely must win. A few others have dropped points and we must capitalise. Win this and Leicester and we go on a little run of form. We won't go 8th though unless we beat Swansea 6-0! In the bigger picture I just cant see us displacing Arsenal for 4th. There is a lot of competition and I don't see Saints going away too soon either, or Spurs. 6th would be a result this year given how badly the first half has gone.
