Beating Spuds, will make them lose four games in a roll. This game is not going to be easy for us , I can assure you.

It is a dead rubber now.

Nobody cares any more and probably from their side too. I doubt they really believe that they can even catch villa

With everything pretty much done it'll be interesting to see who plays.

Bradley is back in training, Jota isn't and VVD is a doubt at the moment.

Great press conference from Klopp <applause>

I might be wrong but it seems like injuries across the league have been at an unprecedented level this season. English sides were favourites to win each European competition this season, but it looks like none will be in the finals.

Klopp will just be dismissed again as whining about the fixtures and scheduling because it goes against the very media that affect the schedules, but his points, along with Peps last week, are valid and we're seeing a deterioration in quality as a result.

    Money.

The Premier League (organization) doesn't make any extra money from English teams doing well in Europe... They make more money from having lots of games on TV.

Recently saw the 39th game suggested again. Not like we need more games in the season.

Seems to me there's an inexorable movement towards Americanising the game in this country. It's been coming for a long time, trying to give things an identity beyond them just being football games, capitalising things like "Super Sunday", and "Monday Night Football". And the likes of that tawdry bloody kit video, making footballers into media stars. :emoticon-0119-puke:
Only a matter of time before we have cheerleaders, and Taylor Swift screeching at half time.

We have had those two titles for 30 years.

We've had mascots for 10 or 15 years at least.

We've had musicn and banners in Europe for what 20 years or more?

We have people screeching at fa cup finals and we have stupid tannoy concerts pregames.

BTW rugby is far worse with fireworks and all sorts. Fireworks, countdowns to kick off, the cricket is the same now. The 100 is woeful for it.

I'm sure some old grump :bamdit: was stood there saying eeee these young brats singing the charts is stupid in the 1960s as the kop blasted out she loves you yeah yeah yeah.

I'm sure a young brat like z will look back in time and say his his day they only had mascots and music pregame.

You will batter us... half our squad know they won't be playing for us next season so don't seem to give a toss and we are appalling away from home ... lost our last three... 3-0; 4-0; 2-0 and have only won two away games since late October.

Plus the footballing gods owe us a slap for that VAR decision <laugh>

You are going to find that playing over 50s (macca and endo) is a bit easier than the opponents you've had for a while.

Add in trent as well and it really will be walking football in show.

Probably no VVD as well. Our style of play suits Spurs. I think it might be a score draw.

    I'd take that now.

Unless we turn up buzzing after 8 days (we give the players 2 days off so it's 5 days of actual training) we will see the same issues.

    Spurs can't defend well.

We are playing too slow and are just walking not moving and giving each other options.

Doom and gloom? Mito is positively chirpy in those posts compared to usual.

It's doom and gloom on here after we've gone on a forty game winning streak. We're currently on a bad run....

    So some positive things.

    1. Konate dropped. He's been not arsed imo and deserves it.

    2. Szobo benched and rightly so. ****e form. If Elliott back passes and goes sideways he deserves to be kicked out by the new manager. Needs to impress today.

    3. Gakpo over nunez. One can't hit the proverbial barn door with a banjo while the other can close his eyes swing and hit 3 players and have it go it.

Just the walking foot all midfield (one pace which is slow) and the I can't be arsed to defend trent to worry about then.
