Great result for us but it was the prefect setup for us too. Spurs didn't sit deep and defend and they didn't look to counter-attack (don't think they have the players to do this anyway). This meant we had space to get at them plus, when they had the ball we could press. Most of those first half chances were when we won possession around the hallway line. We don't gain possession back until we're near or in our own area against teams that defend deep and counter. Nor are we capable of breaking them down. Very different game.

Just seen that Coutinho was kneeling down behind the wall for Eriksen's freekick. This was done previously by Marcelo when playing for Brazil, Coutinho was also playing that game. Interesting tactic...
Was thinking it would better to just lay there instead. Would cover nearly the full length of the wall that way and it would be easier to keep your hands out the way.
Those who said bad things about Lucas playing in defence against Spurs can eat their words this morning. He actually did very well.
