Roma have lost 6 league games at home this season, and have conceded twice as many at home than away. We will go to Rome and spank them again.
Same issue - Solanke and Ings are not good enough to be back ups at this level. We need a squad where we can rotate and sub players without there being a massive gulf in quality.
coutinho's not Seriously though. clyne back. Matip no out for season. Gomez back now but not fully fit Lallana - nobody knows but it is suspected he is toast Can - hiding. no body knows klopp just says in a good way which means nothing really. some peopel put it down for 13th may. I don't know Ox out for season most likely. Klavan has not trained for weeks before everton game. Our squad is now GK Karius, Mingolet RB: TAA CLyne Gomez CB Lovren CB VVD Klavan LB: robertson moreno no 6: henderson no 8s: windy and milner LW mane RW Salah ST: firmino, ings, solanke So we have really no midfield cover now. I suspect TAA might have to be moved in there. Stoke: Karius Gomez Lovren VVD Robertson (can't afford to change too much here) TAA henderson windy (need milner rested) Salah firmino mane (cnnot afford to start stoke game with ings and certinly not solanke)
My worry is that after the Chamberlain injury and terrible last 10 minutes of the game, that we will be forced to rest players this weekend to not risk anymore injures and to get the job done in Rome. If we fail to win this weekend, then we will really be in risk of dropping down.
It's sensible but we were cutting through them like a flame through farts and the best form of defence was attack. Taking Salah off sent a signal and was Klopp saying let's calm it now, which was probably pre-determined but the change was seismic and they looked like they didn't know what to do. It's not like we haven't defended big leads before - 5 against Porto with a clean sheet. If it'd been 3-2 and we'd gone on to get five, it wouldn't have seemed so bad. And if we'd started without Salah, it would not have been like it was for the last 20 minutes. My nerves hope we manage to score early in Rome, because they're going to have belief coming out of their fondelli.
It’s ok though - we don’t need to worry about the league and finishing top 4. We just need to focus on CL.
The probleM is that it’s our attackers who give us control and solidity, not the midfielders and certainly not when we take an attacker off for a CB.
Yep - I want the **** players who cost us out of the squad. And replaced with quality. Is that a bad thing?
It was a tough start to the game but I loved the fact that we changed it by bypassing the midfield and playing direct into the channels.
no but it is unrealistic to expect it in 1 or 2 windows since you want at least 2 new CB's , 1 GK , 3 new MF , 2 forwards & that doesn't include other players form dropping off or they demanding a transfer. All that is after we have unloaded "****" players which although they are "****" will apparently be easy. All squads have some "lesser" players in them sometimes like Milner because they can do a decent job in a number of roles.
Disappointed that they got 2 away goals especially the penalty, very harsh. Taking Salah off was madness, leaving him another 10 minutes would have made all the difference to the game and very little difference to his tiredness or whatever. You didn't need hindsight to see that. Still think we've got a massive advantage for the 2nd leg.
It is very likely now instead of stonewall certainty. With Salah on the pitch they were psychologically destroyed. Worse than a pub team on a Sunday morning.
Really it depends on who klopp's worked with in training before. We've seen neither player ever played in a game in midfield. so... iuf we've never trained in it its a big ask.
