and if he's on one leg and can't run? its nothing to do with general fitness, its the ability to use that leg. If you get a thigh stain for example. it wouldn't matter how fit you are theres no power there and its 2 week mins. Hamstring.. 3 weeks. its just what it is. We've been told its an achillies. If he can play dosed with pain killers but would be doing damage, well he might take that risk.
If he's fit he plays, a lot of players go out on the pitch every week not 100% and it's down to the player and medical staff to decide if he's got a game in him. I agree with you that if he's going to go off injured after 20 minutes it's not worth it though.
