I get the logic behind the chosen line up but it does put massive pressure on the next two games.

Which is fine, but when you’re in an absolute mess you surely use it… it’s a game of football and an opportunity to start ironing things out.

Off the back of 5 wins then sure, play who you like

I'm not saying I agree with it, just that it's fairly obvious that that's his attitude.
I didn't like it when Rafa did it either.

Surely if we win it was a good decision?

Looks like a back 5 with kerkez and Ramsey wing backs and Endo Gomez Robertson in the middle.

Yes looks a back 5 with full backs able to go.

343 maybe but will likely be a back 5 at times.

Not sure you can call it a bad decision if we win (as unlikely as that seems right now)

Instantly both full backs are actually pressing.

Front 3 can press up without thst easy ball wide to negate them

Will be interested to see macalliater and nyoni in cm as place will quickly look to go down there.

Really good start. Passing well. On the front foot.

Matching them up system wise means that their wing backs aren’t always free like they normally are when play in a 433

Early stages but this formation seems to suit kerkez better

easier for full backs to press when they are playing wing back to be fair. Have 3 behind them so less space

    Absolutely

It pushes all 3 forwards up as well. No need for a gakpo.on half way.

However the trick is if palace.over power the cm zone and go down the middle.

Someone has to sit there and stop.a.cm.just taking it off their cbs.. if they are brave enough to press up there too then they can make it a game.

If you can keep on the front foot for long enough you.can gain confidence. If they figure it quick.and start dominating the balm it can fall back to a 5.

Right now we are string along the 18 yard box so midfield have fallen back too far. And the trick is keeping the distinct lines so you can get out
