This may be very short sided. But couldn't we except the 40m deal for Suarez and buy centre backs?

He knows we lack match sharpness so planned an extra long match midweek to give the lads more game time before United

Not really, Notts County have taken us to extra time. Whether we win or not we're in for it.
Would be the logical option wouldn't it -I can only think BR sees pace as the better option to protect (even though Hendo is no slouch)

Didn't think about that. Sturridge isn't 100% yet, needs more games so BR thought he'd give him 120 minute and 30minutes with 10 men meaning extra running. Bloody genius. That's why none of us are managers
