Think these are the games that those who have no featured will. Starts for Cissokho, Borini, Allen, LA, Ibe, Sterling, possibly Flanagan, Jones, etc.
Cissokho at LB will be good to see - obviously not against the strongest competition but will give us an indication as to whether or not he is ready to displace Enrique ...
yes but allen should start... lucas is a leader yes but he needs resting too. mclaughlin v utd didn't look ready for this game imo... you could see wisdom play right side... you can see how bare we are at cb here. kelly not ready, skertl not ready, coates out for year... agger needs rest after a few dings last weekend.... flanno to play? i think same as others borini should play. deserves it after u21 outing... see him v something else other than kids he can push round
This team would be interesting... -------------------Mig McLaughlin --- Kelly --- Wisdom --- Cissokho -----------Allen-------Henderson -----------------Alberto Sterling-------Borini------------Ibe But we'll likely see Coutinho, Lucas and Aspas play I think.
Spoke to my mate at lunchtime. He doesn't expect Borini to start. Apparently we had a request from West Ham for him recently which BR rejected "because the squad isn't strong enough". Aspas to start up front, probably with Ibe and Sterling alongside. Looks like Wisdom is going to Wigan on loan We might sign Ilori this week/next. Think we'll probably see Mignolet in goal. Suarez has NOT signed a new contract.
I'd be really dissapointed if Borini left. West Ham love signing players from us. Wisdom in the championship? I guess it keeps him in the north west with his family.
When does the window close? Do we get another day (Mon 2nd) because the last day of August falls on a weekend?
Don't see the point of signing Ilori and getting rid of Wisdom on loan. We'll still be short on fully fit experienced defenders. Would like to see Borini leave on loan but as BR says, the squad isn't that big.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will use this match as an opportunity to give his squad players a run-out. Summer signing Luis Alberto is set to start, along with youngsters Raheem Sterling and Andre Wisdom. Notts County boss Chris Kiwomya has fitness concerns over a host of players. Captain Dean Leacock, Alan Sheehan, Enoch Showunmi and Danny Haynes all missed the home league defeat to Stevenage on Saturday.
