We were never winning a thing while vvd was getting back up to speed and we drew too many and all that and then boom.. we are hammering into the run in with Diaz in and vvd looking like a ****ing god.

One cup in the bag and who knows what fun to be had as the sharp end comes into focus. Dream land mate. Dream land.

I don't know what standout moments fans of other clubs have, how big or significant but we've got so many. Football isn't just about the winning goal in a final, it's all the special moments along the way. "Corner taken quickly" is right up there as well.

 

Gerrard v Olympiacos although admittedly got us the win and eventually the title but just that moment lives long. Neil mellors second best moment of his career with the assist after his stunner v arsenal.

I think the Alisson goal is the probably the most I've celebrated, which is strange given we won the league and CL etc. It was the fact that we HAD to win and it looked we had messed it up, it helped us get CL, his dad recently passed away, and it was in the last second of the game.

 

You're right. It wasn't just a spectacular goal, it meant even more for all the reasons you listed.

 

For me, I'll add smicer goal in the cl 2005 final and the wobbly legs in pens. That was really a game of highs and lows.

Then 2001 fa cup final Owen finish and 2001 uefa cup final

2006 fa cup final Gerrard goal.

So many big winning moments there.

But even mcallister 40 yard free to get that goal v everton to get 4th in 2001.

 

We've witnessed much greater achievements - but it was the drama of that moment that was so great.

Was a nailed on red and them keeping the keeper in made a massive difference to them

It didn't get us the win, it got us the result; we were already 2-1 up but needed to win by two goals

 

I felt the same. It was a ****ing unbelievable moment. The Unit said you'll score here and Allison duly obliged with a blinding header
