    To be fair to Carver, this is one of those "it's the board's fault" matches. Defensively, how are we supposed to be anything other than garbage with a back line of Raylor, Janmaat, Willo and Anita. The only PL player is out of position and is forgetting quite frequently that he's a centre back tonight.

    The rest are passable for a lower table side. I like Abeid, I like Perez. It's a bit muddled, but so is Carver, so it's expected, but for the first time since i don't know when I nearly found myself NUFC towards the end of the half.

    Just watching on Sky as Carver goes to the referee at half time some Scouse copper bumps him out the way and shields the ref, never seen a manager treated like this before particularly when the ref has ballsed a penalty so badly.

    There's an argument to say he should keep Janmaat in position and bring in a kid who is a real centre-back. Man Utd have done it so why can't we?
