    Once again Trent's attitude stunk.

I defy anyone to come up with a reason why amorim could play ugarte and mainoo at anfield but casemiro and eriksen v Newcastle.

Mainoo was on the bench for Newcastle and ugarte not in the squad but you would imagine they'd at least have the sense not to try that.

Couldn't believe they lined up with them 2 vs Newcastle, was ridiculous.

At the end of the day, they were really tidy in possession and passed their way through our mostly poor press efforts. Really missed Szob. Jones was completely bypassed and when the game isn't going his way he has this tendency to hold on to the ball forever like a 13 year old who he is the best player in the playground. Just gets us into trouble.

The 2 local lads were abysmal unfortunately.

In the days of 442, he would play RM. Basically, same as Beckham but he had more energy and desire.

Yes i agree. Jones was as bad as trent for me. Flitting about on the wings rather than pressing up and running hard.

I'd rather he be absolutely ran out at ht than the performance he put in to walk off after an hour. He left so much in the tank there.

We needed 4 pressing up and didn't have it.

Trent was abject on the ball and absolutely trash off the ball so slot will defend him but slot left him on so for me 2 points lost is down to the manager.

Yeah I agree, I think if we didn't have all this noise around contracts he would've been hooked FAR sooner. Poor games happen so not even suggesting he was poor because of what is going on, but it played a part in him not being replaced earlier imo.

Done now. No point banging on about it, they turned up and played well. Still in a fantastic position beating Forest will take them out of the running and I still see Arsenal dropping points throughout the season.

Yes you are right. It's not about us talking them they did well. Itd about us taking something to improve on for the rest of the season.

Utd are now done and dusted for this season. (Barring a cup game which is unlikely)

What we saw is that in a physical game where we can't just make the ball move faster we will struggle so we can take something for Everton games and forest.

We are unbeaten in 15 in the league but we've now missed out on 6 point over the past games due to inability to keep the lead we got and a red card.

We will see arsenal drop some but we are also dropping points.

And I think of him in a similar way. I used to say of Beckham that he was a one-trick pony, but it was an exceptional trick.
Somehow we - or more likely Real - have to find a way of using those skills without suffering from the indifferent defending.

He won't last 12 months at real. Carvahal is injured, and aging but he would eat trent alive in terms of ability to play rb.

Real will not want him wandering into midfield and they won't accept his tragic tracking back and standing square and ball watching.

He will be like Owen. Someone sees him as a galactico signing but the second the fans turn he will be got rid of.

I thought Beckham was quality tbh; never stopped running and rarely have the ball away. I think he would be even better in modern systems where we often see a central three; same goes for Gerrard and Scholes, Lampard too although Mourinho had a central three

Rumours are certain players had to be separated by VVD in the dressing room at half time as they had come to blows

I was pissed off with Trent yesterday and Slot should have subbed him sooner as he was having a terrible game. There's no doubt to me that it's the speculation it's bound to have an effect. At this point I'd like the club to take it out of his hands and simply say that he's not going anywhere until the Summer or he'll hopefully sign a new contract. Just take this window out of the equation so that everyone can get on with it.

Anything that happens to Trent now especially bad, Trent is the architect of his own misfortunes.

Yeah this would be a decent, proactive approach tbh.

He’s contracted until June, we’ll make him an offer once the seasons finished. You want to sign elsewhere in the meantime? Go for it, you’ll sit the rest out in the reserves
