I was expecting it yesterday. You know how it is with some - we never play well, it's just how bad the opponents were.:headbang:

    delicious.

I put on his rant and all he was saying during game was options on bench. can see why rashford was through middle etc

    hilarious.

I particularly love the absolute blind spot for de gea and backing of Shaw then destroy the guy then back him again etc.

absolutely nothing about fernandes either really.

For me it's a trophy any day. Beating Utd 7-0 is more satisfying than significant as far as I'm concerned. I suppose people who live for the banter amongst their mates might see it differently, but I'm not the type to go sticking it to others in anything other than a light-hearted way - it's just not that important.
It's probably a once in a lifetime result, but not a once in a lifetime event. They're not that important.
The 4-0 and 5-0 of last season was better because we got 6 points from them, and that's what counts more for me.

I've read it from a few.
Yeah GNev definitely tried to make it out that way - that's why it was fun to see him squirm.

I'm sure none of us are under any illusions that one result like that means we're back, but we can still just enjoy the football we saw without needing to dilute it.

it was desire and hunger to be into them and urgency from minute one.

we did that v real for 30mins and they just came on then and their quality showed but we tried.

we saw a smile on klopp's face, when he is happy I am happy but he wouldn't give the fist bumps to the crowd cos he knows they have to do more and more.

I'm surprised by the mancs not referring to ten haag turning up with a deliberate ploy to slow the game and just try see us off rather than push us themselves. I'm surprised they seem to make massive blindspots for some players.

compared to the reverse fixture we lasted the pace for 90mins and shattered them. they ran us off the park in the first game. hopefully we can lift the levels for the rest of season based on one game a week and a big target in mind.

massive massive title affecting games coming up for us. we need to see that same rapid breaking and forward scoring.

No, I'd rather have the cup. That 7-0 is only going to smart for them until next time we play them... After that it's just an old statistic. Take Crystanbul for example, one of our most famous **** ups... Did anyone really get upset about it by the time the next season rolled along?

Or more recently, losing 2-5 against Madrid after being two up... It's already lost it's sting. Was an embarrassing result and sad it might mean we're out of champions league (barring a miracle)... But does it sting still? Nah

3 min injury time seemed unfair. They're supposed to add a minimum of 30seconds per goal. So 3 mins would assume there was no time the ball stopped in the entire rest of the half.

We should have been given more time to score more.

Time wasting from the off is something teams with an inferiority complex do to try and frustrate opponents they're afraid of. It was a surprise that they resorted to that. It's an anti-football tactic imo, so just desserts when it comes unstuck.

imo it started them on the wrong foot and wrong mentality.

if you walk out that way it's very hard hear a different message at 0-1 down at ht.

their players were laughing and joking coming out apparently, I don't know how true that is but they were stone cold coming out.

it makes a lovely difference from us looking that way several times this season.

imo mentality has to be from second you get off bus all through the day..

I think those at the match will see it differently as well. I don't think either of us has been to a game for a while but you know the difference in emotions and how it sticks more in your memory when you actually witness these great events.

3 minutes is the standard let's just get this over with tike that refs usually give when a side is destroyed.

I have seen 2mins a few times from European refs.

if that was in the cl the ref would have blown up at 89mins.

Well mancs have a history of walking out of stadiums against us.

I guess their supposed hard core best fans who travel away walking out can't be unexpected given the same people walked out at old Trafford:)

the one difference not matter what I have seen is liverpool fans will sing ynwa for the team at 2-5 down v real and won't walk out. thats what support means for me.

Apparently since 2016, Mo Salah has received more yellow cards for taking his shirt off after scoring goals against Man utd, than Man utd have scored goals at Anfield.

So another thing to look at is Goal Difference.

2/3 through the season and because of that result United only have a +6GD now. The worst in the top 6. Conversely, City and Arsenal are the only teams with better GD than us.

United's poor GD could cost them a position at the end of the season and ours could gain us a position.

That's a very significant score beyond just 3 points for us and 0 for them. It's almost like a -0.5 points for them and 3.5 for us, as GD is the tie breaker.
