It was a classic gakpo back post tap in. Salah saw him.amd knew exactly where he's get to. The ball itself is assist of the year. Of course zero credit for it. Zero.
It goes down in the category 'when the assist was better than the goal'. And yes, Gakpo on the far post knows exactly what to do. He's getting better and better. Salah has been changing how he plays himself. It started last season. The way he looks after himself physically, his impact and his value to the team is screaming out for a new deal. There's little risk at his age. Get it done.
Yeh that as well. Like in the Real game, everyone was on it from the off. Brilliant individual performances and team play.
Yes. He's cracked and realistically you.can see the anger and frustration and you can see in the teams performances that he is not giving them confidence. They looked so nervy and honestly it has to be coming from pep.
Normally we always seem to miss playing teams when they're in their slumps. Timing was just perfect this time.
I'd always argue, if we can open up a 9pt (or 11pt) gap in 13 games, others can better us by the same number of points in the the next 13. There are 25 games left say definitely possible However, we have to drop points for it to happen. Hence the focus only ever being on the next game
Haaland rarely gets very familiar with the ball during a game, he just has a habit of popping up in the right place at the right time. For him to be effective he needs service because he hardly ever creates anything in the build-up himself, apart from the odd pass-and-run. We didn't allow him any service. Also, it helps to keep him quiet if defenders actually challenge him now and again, something most PL teams seem not to have realised. It seems a bit obvious to say it, but limit his opportunities and you limit his scoring. There were stats last season that showed he missed more big opportunities than Nunez, so to get so many goals he must have been getting a lot more chances. I like Haaland, despite him playing for City, but there was one thing I didn't like, and that was him having a little smiley chat with Mo after the latter's goal. You're on a really damaging losing streak, you should be angry and determined, not relaxed and joking with a rival. I'd be mad at him if I was his manager or a fan.
That really surprised me as well! Shows the mentality of the team at the moment is no where near where it needs to be
At the time I thought it was all just friendly banter and thought fair play to his 6 leagues gesture/reminder. Then banging on about it after as if it was nasty and we should be above it . As if anyone thinks that’s a reality, he signed an extension less than 2 weeks ago ffs.
I switched the game off the minute it ended so I missed the 6 fingers. Hearing about it, just seems like banter to me and not bothered by it at all. Pundits getting offended by the two-way exchange that was well accepted by those involved, is ridiculous.
How many times does this chant go on up and down the country every single week? All of a sudden we’re being vilified for it Hilarious stuff
It's sardonic—no matter what Liverpool do, Arsenal fans on social media have a habit of decrying and undermining it. I think even some Arsenal fans found it amusing on social media.
