    right so.

    Move on from that then.

    Matip out. meh.

    Lovren in. meh

    Team now picks itself

    Karius
    TAA Lovren VVD robertson
    windy Henderson Milner
    Salah firmino Mane

    again bench guys.

    mingolet
    Clyne (not fit)
    Moreno
    klavan
    Ox
(unsure if any other midfielder is fit)
    Ings
    solanke

    Thats about it

We have literally zero otions at this point bar ox to come in.

as only as front 3 are fit a team behind them is getting cobbled up together.

    Hopefully we will get there.

I think mostly its between the lines of midfield and defense and the right side channel.

pressing and forcing the error is where our best chances will come from imo.

pressing is also the biggest risk to our team as if we over do it we will have them flooding onto 3/4 LFC players and goals going in the other end.

Its a very fine line and imo its the individual error could well be the difference.

someone doing something really stupid in transition where players start moving forward and they just give it away through dallying on ball, laying it off to no-one or just a bad pass getting cut out. IMO thats where the shape goes and it make things easy for forwards

If city score a brilliant goal fair enough. that's their individual brilliance.

but if we lose shape and someone makes and error handing them a goal that's the issue.

    AND VICE VERSA.

the entire tie could come down to one error.

I worry about red cards in these type of games, pace and quick feet all over the pitch one commited challenge got wrong and you walk.

Personally think we will go gung ho for 15-20 mins then sit back a bit and try to hit them on the break if only to try & ensure they have limited space to work in near our box..

PS if you're going to the game don't forget your boots as you may need them

I think we'll submit possession (ifc even given a choice) and look to press & counter.

No long balls from either side, certainly not down the middle.

    could happen.

We've resorted to donkey ball in the past clearing it and taking no risks so who knows.

The counter ball has to be intelligent... thats our downfall a bit.

kompany/otamendi v salah is really encouraging me. #pace

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Liverpool with a knee injury.

Aguero has missed the past five games for City and Argentina with the injury.

"Sergio is much better but doctors spoke to him today and he said he still has a little bit of a problem and isn't comfortable," said boss Pep Guardiola.

Liverpool have defensive injury problems, with Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan all ruled out.

Be very surprised if this isn’t more or less how we start

    Ederson
    Otamendi Kompany Laporte
    Walker Fernandinho DeBruyne Sane
    B Silva Jesus D Silva

Fernandinho & DeBruyne deeper to give Sane & Walker freedom to attack

Can see the city left back Liverpool right back side of the pitch getting plenty of action

I’d be amazed to see you start with a back 3 and minus Sterling.

I can’t see us not starting with a back 3
No way Delph Zinchenko Danilo or Mendy are starting there and Laporte is much more of a left sided centre back
Stirling or Bernardo Silva could go either way but raheem hasn’t turned up against Liverpool so far

A back 3 plays into their hands imo, as they’ll just spend all night hitting the channels where Salah and Mane thrive.

    please do this.. PLEASE.

if you even attempt 3 at back our wide forwards will kill you. 2 in middle as well? we will drop firmino into cm and outman you totally.

i would be overjoyed to see city try this.

Sergio Aguero always score against Liverpool, they are going to miss him. However, they have a strong squad.

top top players in the forwards.

we can get at their backs.

if we keep our heads it's going to be a cracker.

i hope we don't freeze but with lallana and Moreno out of side i hope we are ok there.
