seriously.... I posted every game he played and every game he missed and there's not really a game we shouldn't win AND there's not a single issue I think you can point to that shows him costing us. not one.

We will miss his goals and assists over the rest of the season. when one of mane or salah are out we will be putting in ox or lallana or maybe Solanke and shoving firmino wide.

We could do with a replacement tbh.

how about 3-3 v Seville away. coutinho... 2 corners 2 goal but Moreno implodes and gives the two goals back!

 

Who was playing in front of Moreno and providing him extra protection? Or where was Cout getting on the ball and controlling the game.

Look im not saying we are better without him of course not, but defending is a team game. Yes individual errors cost us, but most of the time it’s not just 1 error, there are always things that can be done in the lead up to that moment.

I clearly didn’t say he was at fault, but if Cout tucks back into the left mid position and offers a bit of protection, does Willian get a free run and cross?

Everyone knows cout wasnt good defensively and never peocided much cover when he played midfield or that wide left position.

My point is that wirhout him, we still scored goals and won games so will we miss him so much from that aspect? Not if we carry on performing the same way in those games.

Every goal scored has some kind of mistake in theory. I’d you wanted to you can always find fault in a goal and that’s the managers job to work out of there’s a trend and then ensure that is wiped out.

Yeah goals can be brilliant goals but if a defender is psiitoned better or more seitched on they could be prevented.

You realise they can be both right though? And as we are lfc fans we tend to concentrate on the lfc part of it (so our defending and our attacking).

Why would we cars how bad citys defending for our goals was or how good their attaxkin play was?

 

Because if you give loads of credit to your attack against a **** defence, you should also give credit to other teams attack against your defence.
When a team defends against your fantastic attack and don't make mistakes to let them score they have "parked the bus", when you manage to stop a team scoring the defence played well.

The games where things are costing us it is one mistake, or sheer and utter clumsy panic... plus if all you can come up with is defensive issues then you've missed the point of coutinho in midfield totally.

I can't wait for coutinho to be utterly amazing in the new look Barca just to wipe this we are better off without him malarchy away.

We need to replace the guy urgently. We have 3 comps and will need all 3 front men to stay fit.. that eill requkre a lot of luck imo from now to may.
