Said words to that effect to my lad last night…..told him to just enjoy and remember what he’s watching and what we win, we win.
No quadruple talk yet until we win the next trophy and still in another two Talking about it now is scary.
I have a Fuzzy head but was worth it Hats off to klopps tactics yday, kept it tight af in the middle and forced city wide, mu h better than the league game worked a treat too city passing themselves into dead ends & getting frustrated, eventually passing themselves into a sadio mane slide tackle goal (my favourite of the day) Trent pocketed 3 different man city players but obviously still can't defend The midfield 3 just superb And ibu again bullying 3 city players (flattening one sterling I think it was lol) on the way to our 1st and his 3rd in as many games. Absolutely chuffed with that. Another fukin Final boys
If cup games were scored like league games they would have dropped seven of their last nine points. Granted, they were harder games than they're likely to face for the rest of the season but City are not invulnerable and winning is a habit. City has lost some inertia. Granted, they're probably still more likely to win the league than us, but City almost certainly will drop at least two points before the season ends. There again, we probably will too.
My maths from the other thread would now say we're up to about 7% chance of doing the quadruple based on our win over Man City. That's better odds than I would have ever hoped for.
95% chance of winning cl sf. (Klopps record of sf) 50% shot in each final So that means you give us a 30% shot at the league then? 0.95*0.5*0.5*0.3
Big picture is palace is an easy game we could rest in for a routine final and focus on the league more. Cheslea is now a big stand up battle that will drain us.
No doubt, but it's not because I'm scared of them, I just think they'll destroy it as a game of football.
