They didn't play in the same season though? That logic reminds me of the Liverpool fans who were saying our points tally in 2008-09 would've been good enough to win the league most years. Yeah, it would've but circumstances change season by season. 1st, 2nd & 3rd all got more points in the season Chelsea won the league than in the season Arsenal won it. That to me suggests the quality of teams at the bottom had slightly deteriorated for the Chelsea title season which would explain the 5 pt gap. Yeah, that would leave them a team with a magnificent defence and terrible attack (or vice versa). Its highly unlikely for a team to draw 38 games in a season though so I think its a bit pointless debating that.
From my end (my pessimism has already been highlighted), it is genuinely the first time i have gone into a Utd game where i believe we should win. They have better players than us and a world class manager. They will challenge for the title this year. However as a team they have not yet gelled and we have good players and a good manager, so for once, yes i think we are favourites. However, we are sh@t at being favourites so i consequently believe we will get beat 0-2
Equally possible. Its impossible to judge either way, you can only call it how you see personally, its a fact that the Arsenal side will be long remembered after the Chelsea side, purely because of their achievement in going unbeaten. On another note I don't like the nickname the invincibles because they got dumped out of every cup and were clearly not that.
Take one pint of carlsberg Pour in one shot of whiskey One shot of vodka Three table spoons of any chiraz One raw egg Leave 5 bubblegum flavoured sours sweets in the base of the pint glass Leave for 20 mins Whilst reading tobes' back catalogue Then voila ...
Of course they can cause us problems - of course the game can be won or lost, but optimism isn't believing you know what will happen, only what can happen. We have just as much chance of winning as they, but our confidence, or lack of it, will have no bearing on the outcome, so why not go into it expecting the best? These are the games we watch football for aren't they?
I've just seen us falter so many times against these horrible ****s. Its the game I most look forward to in the season but at the same time its also the one I least look forward to because of that constant dread in the back of my mind that we'll lose and I'll have to deal with the Mancs bullshit for another few months until we get a chance to play them again.

True. I am just excited for ACON this season. Ivory Coast, Senegal all in. Nigeria not in Praying for a draw on Monday. Draw is good result for both the teams. Loss for either will throw lot of new questions.
Klopp: Maybe I'll repeat my Europa League team talk! http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/239742-klopp-maybe-i-ll-repeat-my-europa-league-team-talk
Big day lads - proper big day! First game I've been excited about for bloody ages. I can see us going a goal down but coming back to win 8-1
