It's great to be back but have to be honest and feel today is for the latest generations of Leeds fans. The ones who have never seen us in the PL and yet were still bitten by the madness of supporting our great club. So to all the sons, daughters and grandkids of Leeds fans and anyone else crazy enough to choose to support Leeds through all the lean years a massive thank you. We couldn't have done it without you :emoticon-0137-clapp

It is great to be back, but wish we could have had a gentler intro to the prem, i mean Liverpool & City two of our first four games, still guess we had to play them sometime, however i hope we don't get a hammering in both those games as others have mentioned, their is a huge gulf in quality at the moment, (which will be getting smaller over the coming seasons) so i would hate to see the fans getting on the teams/Bielsa's/radz back after all they have done/doing.
    Good morning everyone
here's to a good result and just as important a good performance today <cheers>

    The result is everything today.

Narrow defeat and we happily move on to the next game in good heart. Whereas a thorough spanking brings our whole belief and optimism into question for the season ahead.

It's not about what we could gain today but more potentialy what we could lose.

    Liverpool

    • The Reds are unbeaten in their opening league fixture over the past seven seasons, winning six times.
    • This will be the seventh time the reigning Premier League champions have hosted a newly-promoted side in their opening game, with the title holders winning all six of the previous matches.
    • Liverpool are unbeaten in a club record 59 Premier League fixtures at Anfield (W48, D11), with their last defeat coming against Crystal Palace in April 2017.
    Leeds United

    • The Whites have never lost their first game of a Premier League season, winning five and drawing seven. No team has taken part in as many Premier League campaigns without ever losing their opening match.

Well, a few pre- match pints in my local and then watch the game. Can’t see us getting anything out of this on to be honest.

I can symposise with you as at times I felt like that BUT don't forget these players are the players who won the championship for Leeds united BY 10 points , championship is one of the hardest leagues in the world to get out of , so these players have special skills that will torpedo Leeds up the premiership with bielsa dragging them by the scruff of their necks ha ha till Leeds utd reach the pinnacle the premiership crown

Too bl**dy true M8 it's what happens on the day that counts.
If we loose I just hope those who suffer from the verbals don't start deriding the team or the manager

Plus playing Liverpool and Citeh in empty stadiums could do us a favour.

Makes no difference to City, they'll still post a 50k plus attendance

    Cooper is out...

Koch and Struijk at the centre of defence.

    Bamford up front.

    Rodrigo on the bench.
