    My Dad left me at home after I stood for hours with thousands to only get 1 ticket for the City v Manchester United 6th round FA Cup match back in the Carter era. Cried buckets of tears after he departed for the game as it was the first home match I had missed since City resumed in the league post WW2.

    I once told him we couldn't do Peterborough away, but the missus pissed me off the morning of the game and I stormed off to the supermarket, but accidentally went to Peterborough on my tod.

    These things happen, the other month we were doing a trade show when we had a night match, and when going for a quick cup of tea before the conference we somehow found ourselves in the car on the way to Hull.

    It's absolutely true and it got better, as soon as I arrived I bumped into a friend who was with Ann Holland and she gave me one of the club's complimentary tickets, so I didn't even have to pay to get in.
