    If Liverpool win we are guaranteed europa football.
    If Everton win we get to laugh at Liverpool being the number 2 team on Merseyside and probably get to watch another priceless kenny interview.
    Either way we will be getting some joy this weekend <ok>

    Much as Liverpool's tragic season has been an absolute joy to behold, I'd rather they win against Everton.

    It guarrantees us Europe, even if our season falls apart.

    Also it pretty much guarrantees Dalglish will keep his job, which means more comedy gold for another season.

    And knowing his exceptional ability in the transfer market, Daliglish might even en up signing Xisco and Smith from us for £50m. Each.

    If we were guaranteed 3rd-5th then I would be 100% behind Everton. However since we're about as likely to finish 6th as a few other clubs, begrudgingly I'm behind Liverpool getting through.

    I have a solution though!

    Liverpool to win after Everton have 3 players unfairly sent off in the 8th minute, 0-0 after extra time, Carroll misses a pen but Liverpool still sneak through, getting battered by Chelsea in the final (but not without giving half their team 'slight knocks' (just enough to keep them out for the season.

    Don't think Liverpool giving Chelsea players 'slight knocks' in the final would help us much really, presumably its after the final game of the Prem season anyhoo. The fact chelski or tottenham have to play an extra game is good though, i really do make chelsea 3rd favourites for 4th place given the extra matches and travelling they're having to do (plus the 2 points and harder fixtures i'd say).

    That's pretty unlikely (us getting thumped by anyone, let alone in the final) <ok> Won 3 of our last 3 games against Chelsea under Dalglish (all at Stamford Bridge) and against Tottenham we've been unlucky under Dalglish with injuries and red cards hampering us in the last 3 games.

    I don't think Liverpool getting slight knocks will help you! We are too far away from you to catch you and we're still playing Chelsea in the league at Anfield before the end of the season. You should be hoping we go on to win every game left ;)
