It was not a good judgement to let Georginio Wijnaldum go on free transfer. We were not prudent enough.
Yep and compounded by not replacing him. It hurts how much we miss a player of that consistant quality being available for almost every game.
We replaced him before he left. You were all bought a thaigo during covid. Ingrates. Seriously though. Wijnaludum was 30 and by now is nowhere. People need to move on ffs. It's the fact we kept ox and keita and milner folks. That's 3 far bigger calls last summer. All 3 should have been moved.
We played bad, especially the first 30 and Becker kept us in it. But honestly, once that initial onslaught was over we were the better team. Not saying we were great, but we were the marginally better team for the bulk of the game. Those first 30 mins were not pretty though.
