    Bournemouth were so naive today.

They look like a very early klopp effort without the talent.

Most of their team ran at us in a press that never shut off any lanes and it was easy get the ball through if we liked.

Thry also didn't push up as a back 4 to at least compress things so there was acres to play in.

Job done now rest a heap of players v West ham

He did. A few more games and more minutes to get up to speed and reckon he will be another asset in midfield.

We won the game people expected not to win(United) and we lost a game every one expected us to win (Nottingham Forest). The fight is still on.

12 points is simply 28 points from 40 and safety (always goal 1) and 58 from 70 (goal 2)

Merson says we can't win the title anyway so who cares about 90.

West ham.next in the league cup and I'd want to see wholesale changes. Give everyone minutes.

    Kelleher
    Bradley quansah gomez tsimikas
    Endo jones
    Chiesa nyoni gakpo
Nunez (Jota is no 1 imo)

We will see. Cheisa prob can't really start.

Real shame about the forest one as it’s a proper blip to the relatively kind start to the season we were given. 1 league goal conceded in 5 games is brilliant though.

Diaz seems to have taken the talk about Gordon personal and decided to up his game. Said beginning of this year think huge year for him as he needs to up his g/a to 1 in 2 to be considered a great prem winger and he’s started to add consistent end product now.

gakpo top game mid week, rested today and I’m sure will start mid week v West Ham.

The front 6 are going to have to get used to being rotated (maybe with Salah less so) as we have so many options and 2 games a week.

I assume gakpo will start midweek v West Ham, possibly with Nunez and chiesa but nice to have plenty of options.

I don't know whether we underrated Nottingham Forest. They were yet to lose a game when we played them. Their defence is solid. Miscalculation or Unlucky ?.

He's been in the same form at the end of last season and in the copa. I did say several times watch out for diaz this season.

I hope gakpo can give slot a real headache as well now cos we will need him

We threw away our game plant as well chasing it and did stupid things

No but as I said at the time of signing juve are infamous for dumping players they want to go out on their own with zero effort to work on fitness.

It'll take 3 months to get him near ready and honestly fully expect injuries as a result as you have to build up.

He's a cheap signing for 3 or 4 years not right now.

If we can get him up to speed without an injury we will be doing every well.

His touch and vision (and speed) look fine. He's not the player of the 2020 Euros (when he was the player of the tournament, IMO), but if he's carrying weight he will get soft tissue injuries in his legs and joints - that was the idiom of Bob Paisley on players back in his day. Have to say he doesn't look any slower though, so that's quite a bonus. But we got him for buttons and he's not on huge wages, so no complaints. I would like Gordon as well, but that's probably not a priority.

Yeah, I think we will have to mind him or have another Arthur moment.

I'd need a lot of counselling to help me cope with seeing Gordon in a Liverpool shirt.

Gordon and his family have always been dyed-in-the-wool Reds [I know because I'm distantly related]. yes, he's a bit of a ****housery merchant, but so was Mane, and I think we miss that. I know for certain he was desperate to come here in the summer.

Ugly ****er though. Some say it's in the genes. :emoticon-0108-speec

Don't know whether or not it's been mentioned but the referee had a good game. One or two things he got wrong but generally he wasn't buying the flopping and rolling round.
