I wonder if any of these Liverpool fans would care to address the question I asked on the Hull RLFC thread started by one of their own?

If posters have a issue with a comment, it's better all round if they hit the "report" button as it highlights it easier for mods, and leaves a thread open to the debate it was started for.

I've started a new thread for 'issues', this thread's for the bus incident, 'issues' are better on the other thread.

The thing that confused me when I moved to Leeds. They don't have many fish and chip shops. Instead they have some sort of multi-takeaway, that sell Chinese, Indian, Italian and fish and chips. Crazy right?

Same in Huddersfield. It seems only the coastlines have fish and chip shops...

Also, nowhere other than East Yorkshire seems to have Chip Spice. It's hell sometimes.

The realisation of this hit me hard. I thought you could just pop down to any Sainsburys (Jacksons) and pick up chip spice. I've had to buy it from here. My housemates all love it now.

Mate I came on yesterday to compliment the away support etc and to say how impressed I've been with Hull this season. Wasn't really looking for a slanging match but when you're greeted by "jokes" about how great another Hillsborough would be and random comments about dog **** and how many "chinkies" run our chippys it has a tendency to get your back up a bit <ok> In fairness to your mods the hillsborough comment was swiftly removed which was appreciated.

The bus incident was grim and I'd never make excuses for those little braindead ****ers. I hope they get banged up and they can rot for all I care but I'm hard pushed to see it warrants the branding of all Liverpudlians as scum etc. Heard it all before....it's unoriginal at best.

Despite all of that I still wish your lads the best for the rest of the season and think in old big head you have a really good manager and (dare I say this about an ex manc) he's a top fella as well. Oh and I hope your owner proves to be a little less crazy than Tan as well <laugh>

Ahh, is this why some of your lads were quick to pounce on the other City poster yesterday? I wasn't aware of this happening.

I wasn't around when all that was going on so can't speak for them but it's possible yeah. No offence mate I could see from your posts that you were happy to talk about the game (as were most of us) but think I'll steer clear of your board from now on <laugh> Seems to be a lot of anti-liverpool feeling from a certain moronic element....not quite sure why there's that level of vitriol between Hull fans and my own lot but seems Liverpool (just like your own city often is) is an easy target for the bellends of the world. Obviously I don't feel the need to apologise for the pricks who abound in my city nor would I expect any of you to do likewise for the neanderthal element on here <ok>

It's because a lot of people are just sick of Liverpool plastics being all over the ****ing place. (ie. people born and bred in hull who support Liverpool despite no ties to them)

There seems to be a stupid number of them in East Yorkshire.

    You lot seem fine though.

For the record I have nothing but good things to say about Liverpudlians. First game I got to over here was our game at the KC against them and a couple of them on the train up were friendly and chatty. Might help that I'm an Aussie I guess. Had another bloke on the train to Sandhills who kindly showed me where the buses were and guided me to the ground, chatting the whole way in great spirit. A couple of others joined in and it was all great fun. Then walked back to Liverpool Lime St from Anfield - a long walk after dark - still had my beanie on and the only people who stopped me were those asking the score.

Well I can't speak for any of them mate as I'm one of the scumbag bastard thieving dog ****ting victim types <ok> Still don't think having plastic reds living in your city is a reasonable cause to be calling for another Hillsborough as one of your posters did eh....or for that matter much of the other ignorant bollocks spouted about by the keyboard warriors.

As I said before I think I've said my piece and I'd like it noted I've done it without any insult to your city or its folk <laugh> I'm quite impressed with myself now....

Also, I had to get on the train back to Huddersfield straight after the Liverpool game, and it was full of Liverpool fans, all of whom were great laughs and came up with cracking banter, as well as being very complimentary about us.

It's quite bad when all fans of a big club get tagged with the plastic remark.

Oh no, I agree on the Hillsborough stuff, that is out of order. As is bringing up Heysel (I've seen a lot of people use that as a counter argument to Hillsborough, which is downright disgusting) or Munich or any other disaster.

The problem is the way the plastics in Hull seem to act. The moment we get promoted, they suddenly 'support' us as if they had all their lives, and then go to matches such as the Liverpool game, and sit in the home end with their Liverpool stuff on.

It's a hazard of modern day footy. I've been going to Anfield since '83 and it's not like I'm going to argue against the fact that footy has changed a ridiculous amount in that time (supporter wise I mean). Anfield is like a library these days despite the best efforts of many. It's no different at United or Chelsea or Arsenal but worse than that....speak to the Swansea fans or Fulham fans or Stoke fans and they'll all say the same. The longer you're in the top flight the more fans turn up who weren't interested two/three/four years ago....the harder it becomes to get a ticket etc and as a result the more expectation there is and the more the atmosphere suffers (in the long term).
