I had that in mind when I was reading/writing some of that stuff. Although you never forget it, it gets pushed to the back of your mind, and when resurrected it does seem almost like another world to me now.
Once again, I agree. You do have to look very, VERY hard to find quality. I defo had you down for an X Factor aficionado
****ing hell. That's seriously upset me. I watched that ****ing programme and I'm sure those names were used
A lot of people are convinced they remember it. It must be the power of suggestion and what you want to believe. I didn't remember them that way, and a bit of research will show you that they are a myth. There was a character called Willy, which might have caused a few schoolboy giggles. There was also one called Master Mate, which some might have misheard and then it grew from there. It was Tom the Cabin Boy, not Roger, so if anyone can make something smutty from that, good luck to 'em.
Gone are the days of: Picture Book on Monday. Andy Pandy on Tuesday, Bill and Ben on Wednesday, Rag Tag and Bobtail on Thursday and The Woodentops of Friday. Now that was quality viewing Before that you could also had Listen With Mother on the radio. "Are you sitting comfortably"
Despite the name I never knew Andy Pandy was a boy! Dressed the way 'he' was!!!! Anyone remember liberty bodices?
