    The Legend Tommy Smith died today aged 74, He was one of the Hard men in football...Condolences to his family and all who loved the hard man....RIP Smithy..<rose>

    The thing is he would not get away with a lot of those tackles today more to the shame how football has gone soft.....Players are more like actors today and go to ground if they get hit with a feather....

    It's the clutching of the head as if they've been pole-axed, when it's purely a slight glance, that gets me the most. Cheating, cowardly pussies, the lot of them..
    He must've despaired at that..

    We had some midfielders then, how we could do with one of these now!! Callaghan, Smith, Craig, James, Robinson, Mahoney, care to add any more. Boy's who weren't afraid to put their foot in, but could play a bit too!!.. how we needed them yesterday...
