Will be a very tough match, I'd be very happy with a draw and a typically miserable game for Carroll. Anything more for us and I'd be ecstatic.

It will also be fun to watch the nuclear fall out on this forum no matter what the result is, it's quite amazing how many Newcastle posters hate Liverpool .

Merry Christmas! Yeah, it's been not too bad except I've had that awful bad throat where you dread each time you have to swallow for the awful sharp pain that feels like you're being stabbed in the neck. Never mind though, it'll be gone soon. You have a good one?

 

I've had a nice quiet Christmas, 3 days away from work has been a big bonus, I work in retail so I just want everything back to normal.
Only one thing worse than Christmas shoppers, sale shoppers! May have to put that on the Thread of Hate.

Yeah I worked in a shop over Christmas and the new year back in 07/08 and it was pretty horrible. Just when I thought 'finally, Christmas is over and work can resume it's usual serene and relaxing manner' along came the January sales - something I wasn't prepared for at all; awful. I look forward to your January rant.

Im quietly confident. Liverpool look poor in attack and run of ideas very quickly,im sure our defence can cope with most of what they throw at us. I would attack them from the off and definately start with Benny boy up top with Ba

 

After watching the MOTD highlights I fancy us to get at least a draw from this, now we have our midfield back to Cabaye and Tiote and a proper defence with Willo along side Colo.

And looking at their home form 6 draws from 9 games is it?

Not saying it'll be a walk in the park but think we are pretty evenly matched, they only have a point more than us!!!

 

This reminded me how well we played against Chelsea and how much the scoreline flattered them. If we can play against Liverpool like we did then I can see us doing well, but it will probably be a free-scoring game.

As long as we pass the ball and stop bypassing the midfield we've got a fair chance. Am I right in saying we've not lost this season with Tiote and Cabaye both playing? Tiote still isn't quite up to speed, but he's getting there. Fancy Demba to keep scoring too.

 

I'd take a draw but with Gerrard back Liverpool will be a better team.
