Could have won but equally could have lost. With Arsenal losing, the draw always looked a good result and so not surprised we approached the game with caution.

Given our recent run of form, to have a 2 point lead on 5th with 2 games to go is more than we could have hoped for.

We may have to win them both though if Arsenal do likewise and think Leicester looks a very hard game as things stand.

But we have 2 decent bites at the C.L cherry and the season would be a failure if we didn't take at least one of them.

As said above, the distance that now exists between the top 2 and us is crazy.

Can't believe the recent results for the CL hopefuls. If i'm honest i don't think we deserve it but should now get it!.
Thought we deserved the point,if Higuain could of stayed on side now and again we may of won that.

Harry Redknapp on the radio this morning, what a biased wally. He basically said the top 3 are well ahead of the next 3 and that gap will grow next year.

You might want to check the table Harry. Spurs are fighting to stay in the top 4 not fighting for the title!!!

In fact they are closer to Watford in 10th than City.

We are favourites but my worry is that we could get 4 points from the next 6 (which would be decent given we have to go to Leicester) and would likely get pipped by Arsenal on goal diff if they win their last 2. Arsenal will surely beat Brighton at home which means we would go to the last day whatever we do v Watford.

Spurs didn't look like top 3 against Ajax who brained them for 60 mins, and hit the post. Spurs were two great players short, and lost their best defender, and they came back well last 30 mins or so, but unless they get at least 3 new top players next year , they'll be back with us, Arsenal and Utd, waving goodbye to Liverpool and City.

I think 4 points from next 2 game is optimistic, or possibly the best we can expect.
Watford will be no pushover, they have a good tactical manager, and Leicester look favourite at their place to beat us given our wishy washy form.
Unless Sarri produces a better line up and intent than started against Utd, I can't see us being assured of top 4, even though Arsenal have been helping us out lately.

Completely agree. THink United can still knick fourth from Ars and Chels.

Especially now that our only solid CB is out, and CHO, who for all his naivety, stretches defences more than WillPed

That's true but playing at Wembley and a season where most of our first team played in the late rounds of the World Cup has cost us at least 10 points.

No way of knowing if that's true but I take your point.

Watford will have nothing to play for and one eye on the cup final. We should beat them. It'll be close as we can't score consistently enough to blow teams away but we should have enough. Leicester is a 50/50.

I expect us to beat Watford at home but think we might struggle against Leicester. We always struggle against them.

Was a bit disappointed not to beat United considering their form and fixture pile up. Was disappointed with our attacks and alonso playing over Emerson.

Still unsure about higuain .Flagged offside a million times but i don't really blame him as half the time he makes the run, the players hold and hog the ball before passing to him when he's offside.

True, the lack of attacking nouse runs through almost the whole team, certainly the midfield. I would exclude RLC and Kante, but the others are too slow to see and act when someone makes a rare run.

Are you sure that’s the case? Perhaps having a manager with no plan b and a club who refuses point blank to bolster the squad with players over 25 million.

Did any other team have players in the late stages of the world cup?

What a bullshit excuse at this stage of the season <laugh> <doh>

Even the Wembley excuse is ****, you played there much more than the opposition did and had a practice last season.

I think it's your owners legendary tightness that always costs you. You have a very good 1st 11, an excellent Manager and a few seriously good players in Kane Son and Eriksen. What you don't have is any back up, cause you won't spend any money.
Without that you can never compete when the really tough end of the season arrives and players are knackered and injured. City and Liverpool don't care, they have a load of excellent back up players. We used to, but are also short in at least 4 positions ourselves.

We only had half the turnover of some of our competitors which is why we can’t afford to spend much more without breaking the ffp rules which were too late to stop you and City buying trophies.
Our new stadium helps a lot with that.

We did fine at Wembley when we didn’t have a crowd restriction and could create some atmosphere.

No one else had 9 players in the last four of the World Cup which means they had no pre season.
