But that has nothing to do with Rodgers surely.....there isn't a manager in the league who decides transfer fees, wages etc. Prices again are down to "the committee". The point of the committee is to "facilitate the manager in identifying and acquiring the best players available at the best price".

Instead of trying to seperate Rodgers and the committee let's just say none of them has a ****ing scooby doooo and be done with it :)

MITO mentioned that Mario was a big loss, and I was just including Lallana and Lovren as even bigger losses.

This is unrelated to Rodgers, although I argue it is because they were his biggest targets. <ok>

Going back to your previous post - I have my reasons for saying certain players are Rodgers signings and that's because I read what local journos say and put the pieces together. But as you say, the whole process is flawed and it needs sorting but it doesn't look like it will because we're on the verge of spunking a lot of Benteke. <ok>

    bollox.

mario balotelli is a complete turd. he is 24 and on the scrap heap due to attitude. I was angry day one he was signed and coannot wait to see the back of him. its a fairy tale tat if we played the right way he'd succeed

and even funnier how you defend the pothead when benteke has to be wrong wrong wrong... according to you.

    its just hilarious.

Easy scapegoat if you ask me.

I've said many times before but no one ever seems to respond - our best attacking performances seem to come when he was on the pitch alongside either Sterling or Sturridge. We actually created chances and scored goals. The Crystal Palace game in particular springs to mind.

And I'm not defending Mario - if we got rid of them, I'd be happy just as long as his replacement is someone actually decent. What is the point of replacing Mario with a less talented version of Mario?

    oh god jimmy...

you are referring to literally 2/3 games and one where we beat spurs 3-0 at their place. badonltelly played an hour.

    that was about it....

its like oh wow lets say the lot would have played so great all year. btw coutinho was unused sub.

which palace game do you want? the one where we lost 3-1 to them????

If you think btw balotelli is more talented than benteke fine but IMO thats nuts.

We only saw Mario play with a partner 2 or 3 times, that includes beating Spurs, beating Palace, and not to mention at OT where we lost but we actually created clear cut chances for a change.

If you want to ignore the fact we played far better in attack with a front which included Mario, then fair enough. I get accused of being biased but the scapegoating of Mario is just as bad.

It's the same when people complain about Mario being lazy but then conveniently disregard Sturridge being just as bad, and even trying to justify Benteke who is even worse than Mario.

Yeah sorry mate - we were losing 1-0 at HT and he came on, and he linked extremely well with Sturridge and you can see how much Sturridge prefers playing with a partner.

Either way - I'm not saying Mario is the answer and never have. I do think he's not been managed well but make no mistake about it, I rather we get rid of him and bring someone else in - but replacing him for Benteke is just counter-productive.
