Signed a deal with Chevrolet last season too, certainly moving in the right direction from a marketing point of view. We're also opening 60 stores in Indonesia. http://www.lfctour.com/news/latest-news/official-lfc-stores-arrive-in-indonesia
Good news and would you believe all the Suarez stuff didn't sour the relationship after all, how did the papers get that so wrong, I'm shocked
Great news, it's good deal when you consider we've not been in CL for some time now. Good work from the commercial team to pull it off. But it's vital we get back to CL football pronto. We can't afford to miss out another year. We are still a major global brand, but the appeal is going to go down drastically if we end up finishing 7th and no CL footy for 5th straight season.
Guy goes to the doctor and says "In the morning I feel like a tepee, in the afternoon I feel like a wigwam", The doctor says "I can see your trouble; you're too tense".... "Two tents", er.... geddit? I'll get my ****ing coat.
LFC are huge in Asia and this is where SC do their business so, yes although we may not be in Champ League, we still have a huge following out there and it will stay that way for a while, even though we aren't in the CL. The Premiership still gets shown out there, and people grow up supporting Liverpool, and then their kids support Liverpool, and they all see Liverpool on TV so interest remains high. Yes the CL is good for exposure etc, but the Premiership far outweighs that due to the fact it gets shown on TV's in Asia more than Champ League.
