So your saying we got held to ransom by Newcastle United, when Chelsea were paying? 'Get over it' in the sense that the discussions about Carroll have happened and plenty of reasons have been brought up as to why the price was driven up. I never said we got a good deal, I said we got the better one.

Remember, Carroll had five years left on his contract, he was a local hero, it was the last day of the transfer window and Torres' deal of £50million was being used to the Magpies' advantage. Fair play on them, they got £35million from a rich Russian billionaire and we got Carroll and £15million. Even £15million for Torres would have been a good deal for us.

  8. Carlie Adam only has one year left to run on his contract,so if blackpool dont wanna ****in accept it,then we'll just move on to other targets!!

Agreed! I'd be happy to not match Blackpool's valuation, only to see them beg us to sign him in January for four million quid, we should then sign a pre-contract agreement and get him for free at the end of the season. Love to see Holloway's face if that happened, they should show someone informing him in his ear on live tv, would bring in millions of viewers.

Adam is not worth £9M. Let that twat holloway sweat over it. He gets a cut of any transfer for Adam. We don't really need him at the moment so lets see if he's still there and available in Jan, and then as someone says sign him on a pre-contract for **** all and watch Hollowanker cry.

It's the same situation with a lot of players. Even without the possibility of being a free agent this time next year, many clubs who play hard ball over the valuation of their players surely realise they have to sell eventually or risk getting nothing/very little.

What if Alexis Sanchez breaks his leg? What if Neymar does? Or, more plausibly, they lose form? Both of these players' clubs are trying to stir up a bidding war while they know the demand is high. It's the best time to sell. Obviously they claim they don't want to, but it's the usual hard sell bullsh*t.

I'd also enjoy it if we walked away from the Adam deal. I don't think we really need him, and I'd also like to see Oyston get next to f*ck all for him in January or next year.

Agreed. God how quickly has Holloway gone from a breath of fresh air to a stale fart? If they don't accept 7 mill tops, then sod them. I'm sure they would come back squealing eventualy.

Am i the only one, who thinks Charlie Adams is vastly over rated? Vaughan made Adams look good last season, by doing the donkey work for him. Yes he's good on a dead ball. But we don't need him, and personally think we have better at the club. Far more important is a wide player or two, a left back and a center half.
