I know Ashley can come across a prick & he aint a billionare from winning the bingo so I understand where you're coming from.
Well, official figures show our club debt now stands at 4 million. So if we sell Tiote and buy a replacement for 5 million, we know where the moneys gone, and its not paying our debts!
to be fair, cabaye was no hidden gem, he was one of the best players in ligue 1 for the last few seasons. the bargain of the summer.
He might have just picked it up from somewhere and decided to share, unaware of where the quote came from. He might be a wum or he might not, I don't know. However, what I do know is that I wouldn't react like that if someone came on our board with the same sort of thread, so I found your response rather baffling.
No. I just don't think that blindly abusing someone for sharing some gossip which you don't particularly like the sound of is normal behaviour. But each to their own I guess.
Chappaz, honestly, you're not the epitome of 'normal behavour'... for a Mag the amount of opinions you have on Sunderland and the amount of time you spend sharing them with is quite extraordinary. For the record I do not think OP is wumming... he joined over a month ago, has only created 3 threads non of which are particularly WUMish. Also his username seems too nondescript to be someone preparing to Troll. Maybe the 2000 in it indicates the little blighter is only 11 years old. You're a bad man Charlie Hurley and you should beat your barrel-chest in shame.
Sand...Head....Bury... Seems news people don't want to hear is instantly dismissed....There maybe an element of truth in it, if not this time though, expect a lot more rumours of this kind to surface.... Good players will attract interest and rumours.
there's a rumor im a stud Comm, good studs attract rumors, do you think its anything to do with this stiffy ive had since we have started winning.
Fail to see how you're any worse off than when he signed? Everybody outside the top 6 knows when they sign a player, if he is very good, he is likely to leave for one the big clubs at some stage. Every club is in the same boat. If anything Sunderlands position is made slightly stronger in that they won't want to upset O'Neill so early in his reign. If he likes Sessegnon he might demand they retain him. Likelihood is he'll want to go if an opportunity like that comes up, and you'll make a profit in the process. That's football now.
'Barrel chest generally refers to a broad, deep chest found on a man. A man described as barrel chested will usually have a naturally large ribcage, very round torso, large lung capacity, and will potentially have lots of upper body strength.' Not sure whether you were insulting me or complimenting me. I'll take it though.
So if we put an offer in for Ba as we are a bigger club and we are looking for a striker, it will be accepted and straight into agent Ashleys back pocket, OK mate get your drift, your doomed to loosing better players to bigger clubs like us.
The original Charlie Hurley was oft refered to as 'Barrel Chested' Maybe Sess is a target but at least he doesn't have a release clause in his contract like some folks have
I think this is a very good post and its what is wrong with football. The clubs with lots of money can let the clubs with a bit less take the risk and see if players prove themselves. If they do the Man City's of the world can come in and buy them. Yes the smaller club makes a profit but they can't sign a replacement easily because any potential replacement will want to sign for a top 4 club or will have to be another gamble.
Apparently Liverpool have put in a bid For SAFC midfielder Stephane Sessegnon. But Martin o' Neill made a statement saying:- That is obviously a problem," said O'Neill. "But it doesn't seem to have affected him on the field because his form has been excellent. I hope he gets the chance to genuinely settle here, but it is not easy. "I understand, but it hasn't disturbed him and he hasn't come to me and said it has been a major problem. "He's got great ability and I would love him to settle here and make this his home."
