You're right they will but it doesn't mean we're wrong or should bend over backwards to accommodate them.

It's the Chelsea board and it HAD the potential to affect us. As it happens it doesn't because the OP made an error.

It's just like last week when the leaked Hillsboro documents came out and they took offense. They've been campaigning for years about there release but because they didn't like what they said they got all upset again.

It's a **** idea to have two games in two days on a **** pitch so it is always a problem. If we get there, I want the first day for us :(

Me too. So we have four days to prepare for any potential CL game.

Otherwise we will have to rest a couple of players v Spurs.

Fast forward to 2016, Liverpool are playing in a CL semi and a Cup semi on the Saturday/Hillsborough anniversary.
King Ken says: ' We owe it to the victims of Hillsborough to give this football club the best chance to win all competitions.
We have spoken to Justice for 96. It agrees that we can play on the anniversary of Hillsborough to give our side the best preparation time for Wednesday night's Champions League tie v United.'

Come on LF lets not be hysterical....there is no chance of Dalglish getting Liverpool into a C.L semi final!!!

We don't ask to be teated differently. LFC have made their position perfectly clear - WE WILL NOT PLAY ON THE ANNIVERSARY DATE FOR HILLSBOROUGH. We never have and we never will. Any consequences of that decision are for us to accept.

If that decision causes you a problem then it's your problem.

You do ask for special treatment: it affects other clubs and other people that you refuse to play on that date.

What would happen if there was a disaster on 14 April that affected another club playing you? would you back down then?

Do juve refuse to play on the anniversary of heysel?

I really don't care what other clubs do. We WONT play - end of.

Now if the FA or EUFA or even Sky tried to force us to play on that date we would refuse.

As has been noted above it's actually not a problem on this occasion. Plus the fact that Chelsea are not going to progress in the CL.

If the anniversary was on a Sat and you had Barca on a Tue/wed, you'd soon change your tune.

You were happy to play Juve on the 25th anniversary of Heysel in 2010. Pot kettle black

We play several times every season on Sun and Wed so I really don't think that's a problem, even less so as we'd be home.
