    I agree, that's how I see it <ok>

  2. This. Nor does BR watch who Swansea are interested in before making a move.

Irrelevant of their success or failure as signings, I don't recall Swansea being interested Assaidi, Sahin, Sturridge, Coutinho or Toure, just Allen, Borini and now Aspas. Thats three of eight!

It seems the Laudrup Factor has limits ...assuming a bid was made that is.

It remains to be seen if its a bargin, £8m is still a load of cash.

Considering the club is run and owned by fans we are pretty much clueless about what is going on,thats probably the best way to do it too!

What does piss me off slightly is that the club have said they are going to have with Laudrup,i echo what Ivor said here, why are we talking now ?? I would have thought things would be sorted the day after the last window shut!1 Laudrup stated in his press calls that the work never stops in terms of looking for players, that leads me to believe that there were deals that should have been done and wernt !

There is a flip side to all of this as well, if Laudrup is not in it for the long term why should the club be backing him with obscene amounts of money? its all a bit weird really, im on the fence with the whole thing but believe there is no smoke without fire.

The Aspas deal plays a part IMO , we have been linked with him for a while and I believe it may have been a second choice signing that went tits up !!

Negredo was one, this guy at St Etienne another and also Aspas .

Maybe the first 2 are still on ??
Without a class striker we will struggle next season imo , we all know this so im surprised the board don't! world class costs money it aint rocket science is it,maybe they don't want to give laudrup money knowing he is off next summer ??

    Who knows!!

    How do you know ?

You forgot Sigudsson by the way <ok>

Also while at Swansea he was intrested in Sahin on loan ..<laugh>

Coutinho wasn't scouted by Rodgers. Ash Williams was though but the transfer board blocked him.

Sturridge and Toure would never be swans targets purely just because of the wages,so your comparing Apples and Oranges a little bit.

While I agree with your comments even you would agree there is a symmetry to a lot of his targets/signings .

Come to think of it didn't the Swans try to get Strurridge on loan when Brenda was here?? its either he uses his Swansea pool or his Chelsea pool :)

  6. Forgot about Sigurdson. Williams could just be paper talk for all we know (lazy journalism and all that), don't know about the others but I'd say that it could also be paper talk.

Maybe there is a bit of symmetry but thats not really the point. There is absolutely no way on this earth that BR watches who Swansea are interested in before making a move.

Why did we not try to sign any of the 437 players you guys signed last summer? <laugh>

Or his Inter pool. Or Real pool. Maybe the Heenerveen (sp) pool? I won't mention Roma since Borini was at Chelsea and Swansea too <laugh>

If I'm honest, I won't be too disappointed. Aubameyang and Bony look to be better players to me.

This is no slight on J Allen but anyone who pays £15 million for an unknown after his 1st season in the PL shows not a great deal of business sense , after listening to what Guillem Balaugue has to say about him I'd say we may have dodged a bullet with Aspas It's all conjecture ,how do we know the club were after him there's not been an official announcement about any of the manager's targets .

Nothing is official and nearly everything we have talked about the last few days could be classed as total bullshit...but here we are !

Brenden Rodgers is a bloke who ive no Axe to grind with, if you don't think there is any symmetry then that's fine, its all about different opinions.

Id still like to know why you think he doesn't shadow our targets though :)

I hope you don't have a listening device placed inside that self portrait painting that Brenden has hanging up in his hallway...<laugh>

Well there are lots of rumours around Laudrup and his agent, and it seems to me his agent is doing a marketing job for his client, and we'll have to wait and see, but this demand from Laudrup regarding our board for commitment to strengthen seems to me to focus on some issue that Laudrup has with our board to tackle the task for next year, might be wrong, but we all know Jenkins, can be an Ebenezar!.......................<ok>

Suarez saying in the press he would find it hard to turn down Real Madrid !! makes sense why they signed another striker...looks like rat boy is off to Spain !

I not sure Stressed is the right word Jager !

There is an intrest in this for many reasons, the actual transfer of the player is probably bottom of the list as to why this thread is intresting :)

The Question is (a £200m dollar one I guess) will Laudrup get money to sign another target ? its all very well Laudrup sending a guy all over Europe to scout players but when it comes to the actual buying we seem to fall short, I could understand the frustration if I was manager!

Anyway as said on here we don't really know if Aspas is the man or not or if he was ever an intrest to the Swans ,no smoke without fire though.....................I was looking forward to a nice stable summer with some intresting players arriving, nothing is ever easy being a Jack is it ? :)
