Jake isn't good enough, which is why we've strengthened in his preferred position. Simple as. Good luck at Hull, Jake. .... I do love reading a good argument between HBIC and notso!
Are we going to allow a bored journalist who is using sensationalist words to create drama, hoping Spurs fans will then attack Jake!? Of course Livermore is happy, we know he's a Spurs fan and probably feels bitter about his exit but he's also young, so you can forgive any outbursts. Good luck to him and Tom, not good enough for us but good enough for Hull and I hope they are a success.
I don't think Jake feels any bitterness whatsoever towards anyone at Spurs or the club itself. On the contrary in fact because he has dropped into the training ground to see everyone recently when he had a day off. As we know, he is Spurs through and through and it was with some sadness that he realised his best option of regular football lay elsewhere. He was always around at under 21 games and I have also seen him supporting the under 18 side and also the Next Gen group a couple of seasons ago. On these occasions he would always make time to mingle with fans, chat and pose for pictures and sign autographs etc. Quite frankly, I doubt he is capable of saying anything remotely critical of thclub as he loves Spurs too much to do so.
Unfortunately if the journo spoke about Livermore taking time out to watch games or visit people at the club, his editor would probably sack him.
Boss it was me that was the bored one! I took a perfectly decent article and turned it into a sun newspaper back page story because I had a half day at work and was bored. There really was no attack on Jake, and Jake did not attack the club!
