I have to agree re Ingram. Didn't look at all impressive to me either, surprisingly as he always sounded so good on the commentaries. Also agree about the high balls. I thought we were a footballing team but, on that showing, we were anything but. How many of those high balls were won by a blue shirt? Not a lot.

The performance on Monday should in no way be seen as an accurate reflection of how well we have played this season. We were absolutely shocking against Burton compared to how brilliant we've been for the rest of the first portion of the season. We definitely missed Pierre, him and Ingram communicate very well together, which probably goes part way to explaining why Ingram was fairly poor in claiming crosses on Monday night. We definitely missed Scowen's unbelievable work rate in the middle of the park as well, with him and Pierre in the team we are a totally different side.

That's what I feared and it's a bit worrying for the rest of the season unless we can get cover; but that is looking to be a difficult task.

It doesn't excuse the hoofball tactics that they continued to employ, despite it being doomed to failure early on.
