I thought that they might still show it on Sky sports three or something but does not look like it. Reading v Saints is scheduled on Sky and Southampton v Portsmouth before Christmas is also on BBC, which definitely wont change.
I'm going Sunday so ot too bothered. I'll be at Reading uni when we play them at the Madstad, quality!
Not only that, but TV also breeds the big clubs. Since those clubs are on TV a lot, they are likely to pick up a casual or young fan and then later on those fans want to see their clubs, so it becomes a big cycle. What Saints need to do is start marketing themselves internationally, sign international players to get interest in the club from countries, and then the need for TV will rise, and thusly more matches will be televised. At least, that's the theory if you/management want the club to be on TV. I'm not sure if that's the goal, though.
If you're entertaining/competitive or both you'll get televised at home against a big club. A team like us (if promoted) needs to produce it's own exciting talent, beat Man U....say, 6-3 with 32,000 people watching + Man U's global audience.
Ha ha. Couldn't go Saturday, but can make use of ST on Sunday. Btw, really old news this!!! Don't you check the OS 10 times a day??
We'll stop moaning when we get to PL and get frequent coverage, though, of course, still not as much as Man U etc. They'll get Matty to cover our games and as we all know he is completely unbiased. Who can forget when he was supposed to be watching a Premier League match and suddenly let out a cheer. They crossed over to him expecting to hear there had been a goal at White Hart Lane (or wherever) and he had to apologise saying, 'Sorry, just saw Saints had scored on the bottom of the screen.'
