There's only so far Poch can take them though, I think they've peaked with this team tbh and missed their chance for a title the season they bottled it to Leicester. Looks like Alderwiereld is off and possibly Eriksen too this summer. I don't think they will make top 4 next season with Arsenal and Utd improving, and they might even miss out this time around unless they arrest their ****e form atm.
That's possibly all true. But if he stays, I wouldn't put it past Pochettino to rebuild, even without huge investment. On the other hand, everything comes to an end in it's own time; maybe now's the time for a parting of the ways. Not sure when his contract is up? Didn't he sign a long extension last summer, or did I imagine that?
I don't think he'll go this summer. He'll want to take Spurs into the new stadium and see what he can do with them next season. Whatever approach he takes, he ain't gonna have huge investment into the squad because they have a £1bn stadium to pay for. You'd think he'd have the money from Alderwiereld and possibly Eriksen to reinvest (if he's sold too) But even then it won't be a huge amount. Alderwiereld can go for £25m and Eriksen can sign a pre contract in Jan to go on a free next summer, so they are probably looking at £40m for him. So on paper that's £65m to invest in the squad, but it doesn't always work like that. Lots of transfers are paid in instalments and the wages of anybody coming in have to be taken into account too.
Wolves 2 v 1 United More humiliation for Little Ollie. Sir Alex will have given him the hairdryer treatment, for sure.
It City manage to pull off the Quadruple, it will eclipse everything that United has ever done. It will be a massive achievement for all true Mancs, and the Gallagher brothers.
None in last 50 years. Thats why the new stadium is having a cheese room rather than a trophy room as it’s a better use of space from a planning perspective.
If Man City did the quadruple, they will have won as many trophies in one season as Spurs have in 35 years. Not counting the Norwich Hospital cup of course.
I knew this thread would get bumped, At least he’s won trophies, Whereas Spurs are having an open top bus parade for their new stadium that they have to played in yet.
Grow up, They won’t win the quadruple, We’ve won the treble, What have a Spurs won over the last 10 years, The league cup doesn’t count.
