It's better than a kick in the nads, but I think the Czech Republic were always going to be our real contenders for 2nd place. As a matter of interest, why doesn't the BBC football site have a section dedicated to the Euro qualifiers? Sherlock Holmes equipped with a dowsing rod and a bloodhound couldn't find the current tables on there. I ended up going to the UEFA site instead.
I'm sure it exists on BBC, just need a link in Football to Internationals. I look on wiki, it's got people queueing up to update the tables etc. Can't believe Lichtenstein won a game.
Hopefully it means Lithuania will be deflated when they come to Hampden. Thing that worries me is that we are going on about us 'just' needing to win the next three games. When was the last time we won three games in a row? Answer: 2007 (Lithuania, France, Ukraine), and we are not made of the same stuff as that squad was, so I am really not confident that we can do it. My heart says of course we can, but my head says there will be at least one game drawn out of the three, or possibly a defeat. And yeah, what happened to the Internationals link the bbc used to have on the left hand side menu? Did it get abolished along with 606?!?
