That is a big surprise then. Havent realeased anyone yet. 2 had contracts that had run out and 2 were only loan signings. Be interesting to see who else is on their way out though.

I would keep JDG if the fee isn't too hefty (never thought I'd be saying that 4 months ago!). He has improved his tracking back a bit, can play a pass and chips in with some goals (but for the most part his set pieces are terrible).
The one quality I like is his close control under pressure - he's great at receiving the ball to feet, turning back to our goal and making a sensible pass rather than humping it away like many players would. He keeps things calm and neat when under pressure better than anyone else imo (excepting Leon of course).

Tremmel isn't up to it for me. Great last year but poor this year. Actually Vorm has gone backwards too - maybe we need a new goalkeeping coach?

I reckon right back is a priority signing. Rangel is a legend but on the wane, Teindalli ages me 10 years every time he inevitably mis-times a tackle. Richards doesn't look like pushing through to me. I'd like to see Trippier from Burnley but with promotion I doubt he'd leave (actually I'd like to see us sign Danny Ings from the Clarets too).

Mode likely the defence is used to Vorm's silence that they get a shock when GT calls.

As for more mistakes than Vorm .... Southampton

The JDG under Laudrup was very poor for me and offered little in a number of games. However, under Monk, he has been a different player and I'd be happy to keep him here.

Along with Pablo for me Vetch. Didn't rate either under Laudrup, and have put some great performances in under Monk.
Still don't see either as a full 90 minute week in week out player, but compliment each other well when one starts and the other replaces during games.

If the alternative is as quoted in the press. Fabianski. Tremmel is a hundred times better goalkeeper.

De Guzman must be the most demonised player to ever play for The Swans'.
He has been the target of hate for most of his time here.
Until he scores a goal,or two.
    Then,miraculously,he becomes a hero again.

JdG is divisive isn't he? At his best he's an undoubted asset to the team but at his worst he's a total liability. If he could consistently play to his potential, he would be worth keeping.

I'd rather go for Nathan Redmond.

Wonder of Albert Adomah at Boro is still on our radar? Decent player and a good chance of making it to the World Cup.

Correct....but even then he is not given credit, nor the guy who brought him here....it's all Monk's doing apparently.
Funny that he achieved similar resullts last year while being lambasted also.
Do fans ever ask themselves "was I wrong about that one"?

Laudrup will get zero credit from some on here.

He has been dismissed as an irrelevance, almost as if he never managed the Club.

    Shame on them for that.

Mind you, there's history here,Martinez and Rodgers get the same treatment, and Sousa, but to a lesser extent.

In the natural progression of things,Monk will,in time,be treated in a similar fashion.
