So not by ALL accounts, according to Bob Wall himself they were friends, but hey, who you gonna believe?
They weren't always friends, Bob Wall actually embarrassed Bruce Lee the first time he met him. Lee was doing a demo, and was rubbishing Karate as a fighting style (Bob Walls fighting style) He let 2 rookie Karate guys take a free shot at his arm, which didn't seem to hurt Lee. Lee then asked the rookies to let him do a Kung Fu move on there arms, and he'd prove how much more powerful it was than a Karate move. The rookies wouldn't let him as they feared Lee's reputation. However Bob Wall was in the crowd, and he raised his arm and asked Lee to do the move on him. Lee did the move on Wall, and Wall barely flinched and told him it didn't hurt. Lee then stormed off stage in a sulk. So Bob Wall ruined Lee's demo that day, embarrassing him infront of all his fans. Lee was over confident and cocky, and was always of the opinion that everything he did as a martial artist was better than everyone else's ideas. He didn't rate Karate much, and he would regularly slag it off as an art. So Bob Wall who was a master of Karate asked him to prove Karate was useless by fighting him. Lee wouldn't risk his reputation though. There was an incident in filming when Wall Cut Lee's arm, and Lee threatened to Kill Wall in the heat of the moment, but he never did. Wall didn't like Lee so he used to hit him hard to piss him off in filming They may have become friends later on in life, but there was without doubt some animosity between the pair at one stage. Either way that interview was done after Lee's death, he's hardly likely to start slagging the guy off
So let me get this straight. You put the effort and time in to reach the standard of black belt in Tae Kwon do. A standard that is not easy to reach and demands a fair amount of dedication and a pretty high level of physical fitness. But. You couldny be arsed in the two years (at least) that it took you to reach those heady heights ever to take part in a tournament? Mainly due to you smoking weed and chasing girls? And in all the time you attended those classes you never really sparred full contact and you reached the standard of Black belt by "going through the motions" ? Sounds legit
I did Tae Kwon Do mainly because my Dad used to practice it and still does, so I used to go with him. He used to drag me along to it most of the time. I wouldn't say I was massively passionate about it, even though I did enjoy some of it. It actually took me 4 years, and yeah you have to be reasonably fit, but I was always very naturally fit, so smoking abit of weed at weekends isn't really going to affect a young fit teenagers fitness levels. There are guys who get black belts well into there 50s and 60s, so it's not like you need to be crazy fit. 1st dan black belt isn't even that high a grade in the grand scheme of things. Your really only still a beginner in truth, it goes all the way up to 9th dan, and to move up each dan you need to do that many years of training, so for 2nd dan id of had to train 2 years as a 1st dan, to get to 3rd id of had to do 3 years as a 2nd dan and so on. So to get to 9th you'd have to be in your 70s or 80s there are only 2 men ever to get to 9th, and one of those is dead. So a black belt isn't really as impressive an achievement as people think, as you are still nowhere near being a master of that art
Now now Jiffy lad. I thought the fellas reply was pretty reasonable. Anyhoo the ****s a black belt loving the new name btw ^^^^^^
Dogs are crap at fighting. Hence why they hunt in packs. Even if you took the most dangerous canine, like a timber wolf or hyena, and put it up against one of the weaker felines, like a cougar, it would be ripped apart. PS Dog fighting is for men with tiny penises.
A hyena is not a canine However a Hyena is much tougher than your giving it credit, they could definitely give a cougar a good beating. Even Leopards which are the 3rd biggest cats wouldn't take on 1 female Hyena on its own. Groups of Hyenas will even steal food off of Lions, the male Lions are usually to tough for them, but they can give a group of lionesses a run for there money. I've seen it on lots of programmes 7 or 8 Lionesses running scared of a group of Hyenas, they are very tough animals, with a very powerful bite
They are very similar to canines. Driving animals off is not the same as beating them in mortal combat. Many creatures will retreat if they think there are easier pickings elsewhere, or if they think they'll get injured and don't think the stake is worth it. Leopards are not the third largest cats either, jaguars are significantly bigger and stronger.
They may have some similarities to canines, but they aren't canines, I've never heard a hyena bark or howl Your right about the jaguar being 3rd biggest, il give you that one On to the point though Animals need to eat to survive, so if a leopard who is fairly comparable with a cougar, thought they could fend off a Hyena they would. You see it time and time again on the wildlife programmes where a single hyena steals food from a leopard, and the leopard rarely puts up much of a fight, as it knows the Hyena is to strong. Hyenas are bigger and stronger than Cougars and Leopards, and they are far more robust. There necks are incredibly muscular so they can resist potentially killer bites from cats. Hyenas quite regularly walk away from Lion attacks, and a Lion is a lot more powerful than any cougar. A cougar would struggle to do any real damage to a hyena, there claws and teeth just aren't long or powerful enough to cause any serious damage to a robust animal like a hyena. Where as a Hyena is famous for having incredible power in its jaws, so it would snap straight through the bones of any cougar, or a Leopard or Jaguar for that matter. The only cats that can beat them 1 on 1 are Lions or Tigers. Even a lioness can struggle against them 1 on 1, this is why they can regularly compete with Lions for food. Here's a video of a Hyena putting the fear of death into a Leopard, the Leopard tries to scare the hyena off by roaring and lunging at it, but the Hyena is having none of it and chases the leopard up a tree that's a male Hyena aswell, the female ones are even bigger and more powerful. You are definitely underestimating the power of these animals. They may not look tough but they are
Zebras don't whinny or neigh, but they're still equine. You can't really classify an animal by sound. The fact remains that although hyenas aren't canine, they share several characteristics with that family. A jaguar would kill a hyena. They are larger, stronger and have the second most powerful bite of any mammal.
