Davies has been very good for us, but unfortunately will never be good enough to play for England.

Stones on the other hand is inexperienced, but chances are in 2/3 years he'll be in England's starting 11. Why not take him to the World Cup and give him the experience of being there to stand him in good stead for the future.

How did the conclusion of, "not good enough to play for England" come to fruition?

He's been in the top 3 performing English defenders from Opta Stats all Season.

If Davies was currently playing for Southampton/Tottenham etc. he'd be straight on the plane.

Davies has done himself absolutely no favours with his performances the last few weeks.

Agreed. England are a waste of time now. Sad for both Davies and Huddlestone but glad that they can rest for 6 weeks from May 18th.

We need them back fit, fresh and rarin to go. Not traumatised and disgraced like Woys boys will be come the end of the group stages,.

Is this the same Lineker that was praising us at the start of the season and there were numerous comments saying how great he was as a pundit......
