Calm down Beefy!
We all know Ward has the pace of a reliant robin & the turning circle of a sopworth camel
Its a worry when he plays as most fans know he's in trouble when the ball is played past him !
I understand it's a friendly but some things aren't going to change !
.......a sopworth camel? i wonder how many posters on here have ever heard of this plane, let alone know of its turning circle. i think a better analogy could have been thought up.

Don't agree at all with that, goldeneadie. Surely all of us on here are equipped with inquisitive minds and thirsty to extend our knowledge? I thought it was a brilliant simile and, after all, it only takes a quick copy and paste into Google to achieve enlightenment! Mind you should be "Sopwith" not "Sopworth"! <ok> <laugh>

Sounds like not much has changed. Good going forward, there's goals in us. Very suspect in defence, especially early in games.

I really hope we can get this Birmingham defender quickly.

I too hope we can sign Curtis Davies, from Birmingham - or somebody of similar stature and pedigree to give us a bit of defensive stability.
I know we were unlucky with injuries last season, but not since we had Malky and Fleming can I recall a central defensive pairing that I felt really confident about from one week to another.
Largely because they were virtually injury free and therefore ever-present, which is crucial for some consistent performances <ok>
