Line up Vs Hull

I reckon there'll be a left field idea that will surprise us all, hope it works

 

Fair enough Col. Once I figure out what position he should usually play (on the evidence of Sunderland happier with him right mid than SWP, Phillips, if fit, has to deliver 2 games in a row to keep him out).

I like a lot of the variations posyed on here, but we are short of pace everywhere once you get beyond Isla, Yun and Phillips (after his 10 yard warm up jog)

 

If either wide player was injured I'd rather bring him in than Hoilett or Traore.

 

I certainly liked the look of Doughty, although it was obviously a very short appearance. He looks like a decent footballer to me.
You're right about our lack of pace, which is something that Redknapp was actually right about. If only someone could get Hoilett and Phillips firing at the same time; that would help.

 

Do you know if he has any pace about him?

 

Doughty is good cover for right back or centre midfield.

 

I don't have a clue. I just know he isn't Hoilett or Traore.

 

What's nice about reading this thread is that for the first time in ages, I feel the guy picking the team will be better at it than most (probably all!) of us...
