Why? Santon can play CB as he does for Italy U21'S he's like 6ft 2 I think. Simpson is to short for CB.

No he could fill in IMO, but I think it would only work with Colo. We might get away with it, if he's fit.

If Tiote is fit maybe we could have:

    Krul
    Santon Simpson Tiote Raylor*
    HBA Guthrie Cabaye Jonas
    Best** Ba

because Tote is solid and has to be better than Perch at CB and Guthrie and Cabaye have been alright in CM.

*Or Perch, I'm not sure which one is worse.
**Or Shola after his great performance today.

I think this might actually work, we'd have to play for a draw though.

Tiote at CB may be an option but Raylor at CB <yikes>

Yeah that could work but I unfortunately don't see Pardew giving this idea the nod over Perch, he seems to see something in Perch that keeps making him give him games. Another worry I suppose would be that Tiote's style of play often concedes free kicks, which could turn into penalties if he plays as deep as CB.

OMG your image has Bruce in it and your team selection is Bruce like. Like I've said Santon plays CB for Italy U21 so he can live with Norwich better than most I guess.

We're low on options right now and I thought I'd throw in an alternative. He's put in some good blocks in the box but is woeful as LB especially with his positioning - he seemed to disappear completely in the first half today. Not ideal, but nor is anything we have if Colo & S.Taylor are out.

Ok calm down, I was just going off Simpson has played CB for Newcastle before and Santon hasn't that all. I don't watch Italy U21's so I didn't know that Santon was there CB, I assumed he would have played RB or LB for them. Neither Simpson or Santon are ideal at CB though.

****ing hope Tiote is fit for Norwich because 1) we need to protect our CBs as much as possible, and 2) although Guthrie is playing well, Cabaye is so much better when playing with Tiote because he does not have to stay back all the time and he can go forwards more.

I think we should just go all out against Norwich.

    Krul
    Simmo Perch Raylor
    Guti/Santon Guthrie Cabaye Tiote/Abeid Guti/Santon
    Best/Ameobi Ba

    If they score 3 we'll score 4

No way should Simmo be CB, he'd get absolutely dominated by Holt and Morrison.

Hope Kadar gets a chance, looked decent when I have seen him. Also, predictions on the captain for the game? Don't know who got the armband when Taylor went off, but who would it be? Cabaye is the only man I can think of.
