Kick off time approaching and no match thread? After our heroics at Fratton Park? Eow!

I had the 'privilege' of seeing this fixture last season. A deserved 2-1 defeat, a stupid red card for us followed by them returning the favour.

Today both teams are in fairly poor form, so unless we can recapture our exciting wing play, a poor afternoon's football looks likely.

Rumours Stockley maybe on his way, andbitvwould be great if he could sign off in style. Fingers crossed we can grab another three points, but my prediction is very much heart over head.
2-1 Charlton.

Apologies for my absence over the last few hours...

That sounded like a dramatic game this afternoon, one played out in dreadful conditions too.
We hung on somehow and we're up to 12th in the table :1980_boogie_down:
So no need for any new players in the transfer window Thomas <laugh>

Well done the lads, and Dean Holden.
A bit of pride restored on Floyd Road if nothing else <applause>

Hopefully these two wins will have steadied things and erased concerns on relegation.
We can sit back and 'enjoy' mid table nothingness<whistle>

Shows what a difference good owners make.

I don't really begrudge Wrexham their success. And I hear the owners are investing in the community, which must be a good thing.
But they've enticed players from much higher levels with big wages. And a very experienced manager.

It's the equivalent of a new owner at CAFC pulling in two or three Premier League players and a gaffer of the calibre of Eddie Howe.
It would be astonishing not to conquer all before us if our team was beefed up to that degree.
They're buying their way up the ladder.
For right or wrong, for good or ill. That's what they're doing.

I enjoyed the series.

There’s a moment during the January 2021 transfer window where they sign Ollie Palmer for £300k. We signed Chuks for £350k (I think). Naive I know, but I think it would have turned out better for us signing the Wombles target man.

Glad for Parky. A decent man.

Happy enough with a good 2-1 win, although we do make things hard for ourselves. And speaking of this, Fraser seems to be blossoming in his new position. Another player played out of his natural position? Does nobody pay attention to this stuff when we sign players?
