"We"are tearing Pakistan, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia to shreds? Really?" We "give most of them a lot of foreign aid (more than anyone else other than the USA) a lot of which is misappropriated by corrupt administrations, but tearing them to shreds?

It's not just the bombing that's making people homeless. You come across like whoever does the most damage picks up the tab. That's not how humanitarianism works.

Fighting Boko Haram, ISIS and other regimes has cost people their livelihood, or what little they had. Have a look at some Iraqi towns we've been fighting in.

So what is making the majority of the people homeless?

You think that those doing the least damage should pick up the tab?

And what has that to do with your assertion that "we" are tearing up the countries you mentioned?

When in Rome, old boy, when in Rome....
Long since given this one up as you just spout unsupported, unqualified virtue-signalling open-ended angsty accusations.
When asked for specifics or details, you do one and throw up decoy verbiage, heavy on name-calling.
You might want to rein that in, it's a tell-tale sign that you know you're flustered and losing the argument.
    Sleep well- don't have nightmares.

I'm saying placing blame on the aggressors is irresponsible if we are part of the conflict. As a self proclaimed superpower, we should be seen to be doing more. Or doing more and not being seen. Preferably whatever helps these people live.

Or, just start talking like a pseudo-academic in the hope that somehow that'll make me back down.

You made the accusation that the country was full and myself and others responded that it isn't. Posting demographics doesn't tell the whole story, it simply highlights the most populated areas in the UK. Those areas aren't full at all, if they were, then how are they going to accommodate a growing population, or people who choose to move to those areas? They'll cope, they'll do what the country has always done and adapt. People just fear it because the adaptation is for people not from this country.

It's a lazy jibe to make, but by attacking me rather than the point in hand, you were probably hoping it would go away. It isn't going to. Point stands, the country isn't full at all. There's a ceiling on how much we can take on, but we're nowhere near it. Not even close.

This wasn't an argument, you turned it into one by effectively slamming the door on anybody who wants to come into the country and then calling out people who pull you up on it. In fact you do it a lot on here, people discuss things and you ramp it up by wistfully throwing idle insults and sarcy comments in order to belittle those who don't share your point of view. It's a ****'s trick used on forums across the internet. Don't be that guy.

I agree with the spirit of the point you're making, but what fraction of the Russki land area is 'reasonably' habitable?

You need yet another battery in your irony detector? Jeez almighty! Do you have any inkling of what an easy target you are on here? You are currently #3 in the Daft Kids list on this forum, but after this thread you're rising rapidly. I now expect there'll be a retaliatory response from the incumbent #1 and #2.

Interesting fact: 950 years this weekend, since our last invasion - by William the Bastard.

The last invasion of Britain was 219 years ago, the last successful invasion was 950 years ago.

It is the original little blue tablet before the foreigners improved it, like they did with all British inventions according to Sterling.

There again it may have been a case of hitting the wrong one of two adjacent keys.Be careful.with your typos.<laugh>

The Bastard who burnt the North.

It's estimated that 150,000 people died during the Harrying, which at the time was nearly 9% of the population of all of England. Even by Medieval standards, what William did was considered cruel and unprecedented. I'd consider it a genocide.

    I don't get your point.

People from your favoured land line up with primitive tools and hack whole pods of whales to death. Whales swimming around in the blood of their family for hours on end.

Because why? 'Oh it's tradition'. It's horrific pal. They don't need the whale meat, in fact it's bad for them.

From what I gather it's just the genuine enjoyment of getting bloody and hacking an animal to death. They're all absolute ****s.

They're no different to those annoying American ****s who pose with dead giraffes and the like after a 'hunt'.

You may pull a laughing face emoji about it but your people are savages in my opinion.

Carry on your holy moral tirade about Syria.
