And we still have a chance, it's not all over yet but Mick HAS to try something different now, right?

When we had such a good chance at the turn of the year it's a bit pathetic that we're now relying on the results of others to even keep within sniffing distance of the playoffs.

And there's been slip ups from every team over the last 6/8 weeks when we could and should've taken advantage. It's to easy to be down hearted and dismissive of our chances now but somehow we still remain within a point.

We need to win consecutive games starting with Bolton but I just can't see us winning 2 or 3 on the bounce!

I feel the playoffs will be a disappointment after the first half of the season and I really don't think we'll get through. At this point I fancy a certain club to the North - and that sucks big time. And if we do pull something incredible out of the hat and get up, does anyone seriously think more than about five of our squad are Premier League quality? Or that we have an owner prepared to remedy that?

Yes, I'm a bit down after today, but the rose-tinted specs are off.

Stretchy I get that. Going into play offs with momentum is a good thing. We peaked far too early. However I agree with Warky. Stringing wins together at the moment seems unlikely. But it's been said many a time, this is the championship so who knows what could happen.

Have said it for some time,, if you don't put players in their correct positions, you will get found out, three players today not in their strongest positions, one of them Tommy Smith, is just not good enough for a team that is striving for promotion, midfield have scored the grand total of five goals all season, our two central defenders, have scored more than that between them.

MM is a good manager, one of the best in this division, especially when you consider the resources he has to work with, and we must not forget what he has done for us, but he perhaps needs to gamble just a bit, be a bit more open in his attacking ideas, like giving other teams something to worry about, try and get more pace and creativity into the team, and perhaps stop giving too much respect to other teams, less of a steady eddie if you like

I think you sum it up stretchy. We didn't actually play that badly today but it's just all too predictable and often hopeful. None of our players bar Bishop seem to be comfortable on the ball under pressure but this isn't just because they aren't the best players but also because they're not coached to play in that way

We do have a lifeline.

Lets make the most of it, we're like a cat with nine lives surely on our eighth by now.......
